Yeomchang Station pizza pub with sweet potato and sausage: Eopija

In short

Eopija is a pizza pub in the backstreets behind Exit 3 of Yeomchang Station in Yangcheon, Seoul, where one pie can be topped with four different flavors. Two people after work ordered the Premium Set A half pizza (29,900 won) with real cheese, sweet potato, bulgogi and Johnsonville sausage, along with oven spaghetti, nachos and salad. For anyone who can never settle on a single flavor, Eopija's four-flavor combination is about as close to a right answer as pizza gets.

Eopija's signature four-flavor pizza near Yeomchang Station

One-line summary of today: four flavors on one half pizza, the pizza-and-beer sanctuary near Yeomchang Station 👇

I'm Mappu, professional restaurant-crusher, haha. Every time you go for pizza, it's the same dilemma, right? You want pepperoni but you're also craving sweet potato, and you can't give up cheese either lol. Then you end up picking one and stealing bites off the person next to you. Just me?

But I found a place that erases that whole dilemma. A place that piles four flavors onto one pizza — this is it, right here. Here's the story of Eopija (어피자, UH PIZZA) near Yeomchang Station, where Ppori and I grabbed dinner after work.

Where is Eopija and how do you get there from Yeomchang Station?

Eopija is about 140m into the backstreets from Exit 3 of Yeomchang Station on Line 9 — a generous 2-minute walk. The address is 102 Mokdongjungang-buk-ro, 1F 101, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

It's not on the main street but tucked inside an alley — though the red awning on the corner is eye-catching enough that you won't get lost. There's a tuna restaurant right next door too, so you can use that as a landmark.

It's on the ground floor, no stairs to walk in. The restroom, though, is outside the store and up to the 1st floor on the right.

What to check before walking into Eopija

The sign itself basically says "Uh? Want pizza? Uh! Pizza" lol. Isn't a name this on-the-nose basically cheating?

What caught my eye most on the standing sign outside was the claim of using 100% natural cheese. That's a totally different melt from places using processed cheese.

There's also a CESCO Members sticker on the glass door at the entrance. That means the place gets pest control management, and I always check for that before going in. There's an American Express sticker there too.

It feels less like a chain and more like a neighborhood pizza-and-beer joint that's put down roots. So there's no separate website — updates come through Instagram.

What is the atmosphere like inside Eopija?

Happy Hour poster on the wall at Eopija

Before sitting down, I checked out the poster on the wall. Happy Hour runs 16:00 to 20:00 for ₩10,000. It comes with a draft beer plus your choice of one: cajun potatoes, a pizza slice, oven spaghetti, or nachos. Limited to one set per person, and no takeout. There's no better setup for a quick drink after work.

Eopija's interior chandelier and seating

You order directly with staff. Once you sit down, they bring you the menu.

The first thing that catches your eye walking in is the chandelier on the ceiling. It's an industrial setup with gray brick and black metal chairs, then a flashy light fixture on top. There's a raised area toward the back with a projector screen too. I bet there's no seat left here on a night with a big sports match, haha.

Eopija's window-side sofa seat and table setting

We sat by the window. One side is a leather sofa, so it's comfortable even sitting for a while. Cutlery and hot sauce are already set on the table. You can see greenery through the window, so window seats are definitely nice if you go during the day.

What the self-serve bar at Eopija offers

Eopija's wooden self-serve bar near the entrance

Near Eopija's entrance there's a self-serve bar with a wooden shelf. Water and parmesan cheese are there for you to grab yourself. Cups, kitchen towels, wet wipes, straws, and small plates are all gathered in one spot.

Personally, I was glad to see three large containers of parmesan blend out. If you like sprinkling parmesan on your pizza, this matters more than you'd think. Several bottles of hot sauce are lined up too.

There are folded lap blankets on the lower shelf. Handy for summer when the AC is blasting, or if you sit outside. There are also toys there for guests with kids.

The menu is thicker than expected. Eopija isn't just a pizza place — it's more of a pub with whiskey, highballs, and wine too. Let me pull out the parts worth noting.

Pizza is sold by the slice or by the whole pie. A slice starts at ₩4,900 for real cheese. It's a low barrier to entry — you can come solo and just order one slice. Whole pizzas start at ₩25,900, two flavors are ₩32,900, and four flavors are ₩33,900.

Set menus are split into regular and premium. The difference is how many pizza flavors you can pick. Regular gets you one flavor, Premium lets you choose 1, 2, or 4 flavors. And sizes split again into half or whole.

The signature is the Arugula Uh!Pizza. It comes half arugula, half real cheese, a limited-quantity item at ₩32,900 for a whole pie. It said it could sell out early due to the freshness of the arugula.

For drinks, draft beer starts at ₩4,900, bottled beer (Terra, Kelly) is ₩4,000. Whiskey ranges from Golden Blue to Macallan, sold by the glass too. Highballs run about ₩7,900, cocktails about ₩6,900. If you take pizza to go, you get a ₩5,000 discount.

There was also a review event notice tucked into the menu. Write a receipt review and choose one of: a pizza slice, a side of your choice, or a cocktail 1+1. Limited to once a day per table payment, and only for dine-in. I skipped it this time and just ate, haha.

What we ordered at Eopija

🍕 Premium Set A (half) 29,900 / 🥤 Zero Cider 2,500 / 🥤 Zero Pepsi 2,500 ━━━ 💰 Total ₩34,900

We went with the Premium Set A half pizza. List price is ₩36,800, discounted to ₩29,900. It comes with pizza + choice of side + vegetable salad, and nachos come along with it too. We picked oven spaghetti as the side.

We combined the four pizza flavors as real cheese, sweet potato, bulgogi, and Johnsonville sausage. One plain, one sweet, one savory, one spicy. Split that way, there's never a moment you get sick of it.

Two menu items on Eopija's list worth explaining

Johnsonville Sausage — a sausage brand that started in Wisconsin, USA. Known for a high pork content and a satisfying snap of the casing, it's commonly used on grills or as a pizza topping. At Eopija, it's served both as a pizza topping and as a side dish to go with drinks.

Pizza-shaped cracker snack served as Eopija's default side

Pizza Time — a cracker snack shaped like little pizzas. This is Eopija's default snack. When you sit down, they bring it out on a plate — a pizza place whose default bar snack is pizza-shaped crackers, hahahaha. I have to give the owner credit for that one.

How did the four pizza flavors taste?

Eopija's Premium Set A half pizza served together on a silver tray

The moment the plate came out, we both made a sound. One big silver tray with pizza, oven spaghetti, nachos, salad, pickles, and sauce all on it. We ordered the half and nearly couldn't finish it between the two of us. If we'd gone with the whole pie, we'd have been in trouble, haha.

I also liked that the pizza came cut into squares. Big triangle slices mean you end up holding it in one hand and dripping toppings everywhere, but squares are perfect for picking up. The dough is on the thinner side, so even four pieces in, you don't feel weighed down.

Close-up of the square-cut four-flavor pizza

Quick notes by flavor:

  • Real Cheese — just cheese, no toppings. Natural cheese so it's savory, not salty
  • Sweet Potato — sweet potato mousse piped on in a grid. This is basically the dessert slot
  • Bulgogi — sweetish bulgogi with olive and mayo lines. The most Korean-style flavor
  • Johnsonville Sausage — sausage with jalapeños. Spicy enough to call for a beer

If I had to pick one of the four, it'd be the Johnsonville sausage. The jalapeños keep cutting through the richness. Ppori liked the sweet potato one better. I'd recommend eating in this order: cheese → sausage → bulgogi → sweet potato.

Eopija's oven spaghetti served in a cast iron pan

Eopija's oven spaghetti side

The side we picked was oven spaghetti. Tomato sauce spaghetti laid in a cast iron pan, topped with cheese and baked. Pepperoni, olives, and corn on top.

When you scoop it with a fork, the cheese stretches out — that's the most fun part, haha. The sauce leans a bit more sweet than acidic. Not divisive enough to split opinions, just easy to eat. It was nice that it came in the pan and stayed warm to the end.

Nachos with cheese sauce and a separate dipping sauce

The nachos come drizzled with cheese sauce, plus an extra dipping sauce on the side. The chips are on the thicker side so they don't break when you dip them. Good for picking at between pizza slices when your mouth needs something else.

Set vegetable salad with lettuce and cherry tomatoes

The salad is lettuce with corn, cherry tomatoes, olives, and dressing. A bite in between the greasy stuff resets your palate. It comes standard with the set, so you don't need to order it separately.

Zero-sugar canned drink served with a glass of ice

We went with soda instead of alcohol. Canned drinks are ₩2,500 each, so it's not a burden. They came with a glass packed with ice, so it was nice and cold. I also liked that there was a zero-sugar option.

One more tip: grab parmesan from the self-serve bar and pile it on generously. Especially on the real cheese slice — it turns into a completely different pizza.
