Weekend Sonagi package binge-watching I'm Solo at One Play Jamsil

I had a bit of time to kill between appointments near Jamsilsaenae, and thought about just parking myself in a café to wait it out. But then I figured — if I'm killing time anyway, might as well do it properly — so I went looking for a comic café and found the best-looking option around. Let me introduce One Play, a place where you can do OTT streaming, Nintendo, comic café reading, and board games all in one spot :)

Location and directions to One Play Jamsil Branch

It's on the 2nd and 3rd floors of this building with a convenience store! I couldn't find an elevator, so I climbed the stairs with determination.

Shoe lockers on the 2nd floor, entrance on the 3rd

First, store your shoes in an empty locker in the 2nd floor hallway, change into indoor slippers, grab your locker key, and head up to the 3rd floor!

The restroom is unisex, located on the mid-level landing, and wifi is provided!

After a quick orientation, they give you an NFC-tag display panel — you take it to your room, order comfortably, and pick up your food at the counter.

At the 3rd floor entrance there's a kiosk for settling up. You pay here when you leave.

Next to the counter there's a showroom with desserts on display — honestly, it's basically bakery café level. Next to that is a return counter, so you self-serve your empty dishes back there!

What we ordered with the weekend package, the 'Sonagi Rate'

• Sonagi package ₩10,900 × 2
• Buldak-bokkeummyeon + fried egg + cola ₩8,000
• Overtime fee ₩700 × 2

I visited on the weekend, so I used the Sonagi package — 2 hours plus a choice of iced tea or Americano. We miscalculated our checkout time and each paid an extra ₩800 for being 10 minutes over 💸 Technically we were only 6 minutes late, but it seems overtime is billed in 10-minute blocks.

While we waited for our iced Americanos, I wandered around and checked out the manga corner 👀

Here's the overall look of the 3rd floor! It seems mostly focused on the comic café side. The densely packed shelves of manga and the interior — reminiscent of a fantastical, utopian realm — really stood out.

There are seriously so many manga books here that I started wondering whether they'll ever all get read once 💦 It's not even a thousand books, they said — it's thousands!!

2nd floor: OTT, board games, Nintendo, PlayStation

A big hall packed with two-level rows of OTT viewing nooks! Having only ever been to old-school manga rooms, I felt genuinely amazed — this is basically the final-boss version of a manga room. Each room is designated for different types of OTT content, so you just pick the room based on what you want to watch.

They also have Nintendo and tons of board games — 'various' feels like an understatement when there are literally hundreds of them.

Board games I actually know how to play? Just Halli Galli, one trick pony 👵 haha

I also tried the one arcade machine in the hall. There must be dozens of games on it, but since I didn't know how to play any of them(...) I just clicked away at a bubble-popping game before heading back into our room 🤣

Watching I'm Solo in the OTT room

The OTT rooms use a projector beamed onto the wall. The real reason we came into One Play Jamsil today — hard to believe, but it's to watch I'm Solo..!🤣 I'm Solo is only fun if you watch it with your partner and cringe together side by side ;;

Buldak-bokkeummyeon for ₩4,500, fried egg is a must

Buldak-bokkeummyeon (spicy stir-fried instant noodles), ₩4,500. But it's basically 'buldak with sides' at this point 🐷 No exaggeration, they have basically every snack you'd want. I nearly fainted seeing they even had samgyeopsal (pork belly) on the menu lol🤣 We had dinner plans later, so we kept it 'simple(?)' with just the buldak noodles. The fried egg topping is an extra charge 〰️

They really know how to cook buldak noodles — perfectly chewy, cooked just right 🥹 We said we'd only eat a little and save the rest, but of course we scraped the bowl clean. After finishing an episode of I'm Solo and squeezing in a round of Halli Galli, the two hours flew by, and we left a bit sad, promising to come back 👋

Didn't notice it on the way in, but there are chargers set up near the entrance!

Why two hours felt way too short

Honestly, I went in just to kill time, but there was so much more to enjoy than I expected, so the two hours flew by. Looking around the neighborhood near One Play, there are quite a few comic cafés and multi-purpose rooms nearby!! According to my baseball-loving partner, fans often spend time in a manga café before a game and then head to the stadium once the game's about to start. If I were a baseball fan, I think I'd do the same lol. And among all those options, I think One Play Jamsil Branch is the clear winner on price, facilities, and content 👏👏 That said, the pet-friendly policy might be a plus or minus depending on your preference, so keep that in mind before visiting.
