Today I'm writing an honest, detailed review of a visit to Taedon, a barbecue restaurant in Geomdan-gu, Incheon that's been getting a lot of buzz lately on word of mouth and social media.
I really love grilled meat, so I tend to seek out famous barbecue spots all over the country. This time at Taedon, everything lined up perfectly — the outstanding quality of the raw meat itself, the clean interior, a genuinely original signature sauce I hadn't seen anywhere else, and a dessert service that went above and beyond — so I really wanted to introduce it to you in detail.
If you're looking for a proper dining experience near Geomdan, or a spot for a work dinner or family meal, stick with me through this post!

Where is Taedon Geomdan Sageori Branch, and what is the restaurant like?
Taedon is at 139 Wanjeong-ro, B-dong 1st floor, Geomdan-gu, Incheon, near Geomdan Sageori Station. The restaurant is very easy to reach by public transportation, which made it a great spot to meet up.

Walking inside, the first thing I noticed was how clean and well-kept the interior was, and the tables were spaced generously enough that we could chat comfortably without worrying about noise from nearby tables.

Each table had a tablet ordering system, right in line with current trends, which made the ordering process go very smoothly.

Free beef bone broth for young children at Taedon
Taedon offers a free bowl of sagol-guk (bone broth soup) to guests with children aged 5 and under. There was a sign on one wall of the restaurant that really showed the owner's thoughtfulness — it read something like 'So our little ones can eat well too, that's Taedon's spirit,' explaining that they serve a rich, home-style bone broth simmered with a mother's care, free of charge.

For parents who often struggle to find a proper soup or side dish for young kids when eating out, this felt like a genuinely warm and welcome service.
Taedon's samgyeopsal and mushroom platter: how thick and how juicy?
We ordered the signature samgyeopsal (pork belly) along with a mushroom platter to grill on the side, all through the tablet. The moment the meat arrived, I couldn't help but gasp — the thick-cut, bright red, fresh pork belly was seasoned just right with coarse salt and pepper, and it looked absolutely mouthwatering.

The mushroom platter that came with the meat was also nicely varied — enoki mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, shishito peppers and eggplant — and it was fun grilling them all together on the pan.

As the meat sizzled golden-brown on the hot pan, giving off that irresistible savory aroma, I could barely wait. Taking a bite of a perfectly grilled piece of pork belly, the crispy exterior gave way to juicy, savory juices bursting through — truly excellent.

That one bite made it clear exactly why Taedon has earned such a positive reputation as a samgyeopsal spot near Geomdan Sageori.
What does Taedon's kunefe-filled Dubai chewy ssamjang taste like?
If I had to pick the single most memorable highlight of our Taedon visit, it would definitely be the 'Dubai chewy ssamjang.' The tablet screen and signage around the restaurant advertised it as a 'Geomdan first' — a ssamjang (dipping sauce) made with kunefe (a shredded pastry) — so I was curious even before tasting it.

The dish, once served, looked nothing like an ordinary dipping sauce. Golden, crispy fried kunefe strands and special toppings were piled generously on top of the ssamjang, meant to be mixed together and spooned over the meat.
One bite and the crispy-yet-chewy texture of the kunefe combined beautifully with the savory depth of the ssamjang and the richness of the meat. It cut through the fattiness while adding textural fun, and I kept reaching for more. I was completely won over by Taedon's original, standout flavor.

Adding jjolmyeon and joining the photo receipt review event
To refresh our palates midway through the meat feast, which can get a bit rich, we also added jjolmyeon. It arrived in a big bowl loaded with fresh lettuce, shredded scallions, bean sprouts, chewy noodles and sauce.

Mixed together and eaten alongside the meat, the crunchy vegetables and tangy-sweet sauce paired perfectly.
There's one more tip worth knowing before you finish your meal — Taedon's ongoing photo receipt review event! Write a simple photo review after your meal and you can choose a free bottle of soju or a special dessert ice cream.

We chose the dessert ice cream, and I was honestly amazed by how it looked. It came with an adorable mini shovel-shaped spoon, and the sweet ice cream was topped generously with crispy cookie crumbs and coconut powder — great to look at and perfect as a palate cleanser to end the meal. Getting such a cute, thoughtful dessert at the very end made the whole visit even more satisfying.

Is Taedon worth a visit, and who will enjoy it most?
Taedon delivers on the basics — excellent meat quality and freshness — while also offering a truly unique touch with the kunefe Dubai chewy ssamjang, a bone broth service for kids, and a review-event dessert. Every detail felt considered from the guest's point of view.

If you want to make a special memory over great grilled pork with people you care about, I highly recommend giving Taedon near Geomdan Sageori a try. Come enjoy real juicy flavor and a distinctive taste experience at this restaurant near Geomdan Sageori Station, and have a satisfying meal!
