Sangdong patio dinner with bulgogi taco fruit salad: People & Peoples

My husband and I went to People & Peoples for a weekend dinner. The evenings have gotten quite cool lately, so it was perfect for eating outside. Among Sangdong restaurants in Bucheon, this place stood out for its range of menu items — from pizza to tacos to lasagna — plus that beer-garden vibe, making it a great spot for dinner.

What are the outdoor tables like on the Sangdong food alley?

People & Peoples sits right in the Sangdong food alley, a convenient spot for a meal or a drink. There were quite a few outdoor tables set up in front of the shop, and that evening sitting outside was actually cooler and had a better atmosphere than sitting indoors.

As the lights started coming on one by one, it felt like a proper beer-garden experience right in the middle of the city. Indoor seating would probably be more comfortable in midsummer, but on a cool evening like this, the outdoor tables felt far more appealing.

Inside People & Peoples: a pub-style dining room

We took a quick look inside too, and the mood was completely different from outside. With neon lights, wine bottles for decor, and a big screen, it definitely had that pub feel.

The tables were spaced fairly generously, and there were seats big enough for larger groups, so it looked like a good spot for a friends' gathering or a work dinner too. The menu had so many options that filming the whole menu board took almost a minute, haha.

Along with pizza and lasagna, there were tacos, salads, gambas, and other dishes hearty enough for a full meal, plus lighter options to share.

Ordering the Ambrosia pastry pizza and the bulgogi taco

Since we're both pizza people, after a long look at the menu we settled on the Ambrosia pastry pizza for 26,000 won. We added the bulgogi taco fruit salad for 25,000 won and a Zero Coke. Once everything arrived, the table was packed — the bulgogi taco fruit salad in particular was much bigger than it looked in photos.

The Ambrosia pizza's standout feature is its pastry dough — layered and flaky instead of a regular pizza crust. It came topped with pepperoni and bulgogi, sweet sweet-potato mousse, spicy stir-fried shrimp, and a generous pile of potato flakes in the center.

The edges shattered crisp and nutty, true to a pastry crust, while the inside was loaded with cheese and toppings — filling enough that a single slice felt substantial. The salty savor of the bulgogi and pepperoni came through the sweetness of the sweet-potato mousse for a nice sweet-and-salty balance.

The salsa criolla sauce served alongside was tangy-spicy with finely chopped ingredients — dabbing a little on the crust end cut through the richness and added a nice accent, better than eating it plain.

How big is the bulgogi taco fruit salad at People & Peoples?

The bulgogi taco had a crispy taco shell packed with spicy stir-fried bulgogi and plenty of cheese.

Alongside came a salad with a lettuce base topped with apple, orange, green grapes, cherry tomatoes, and more — and the portion was truly generous.

At first we tucked a bit of the salad and tomato into the taco and ate them together, and the combination worked really well. The rich bulgogi seasoning got lightened up by the fruit's fresh sweetness and the crunch of the vegetables.

The grain sauce served with it was creamy and helped soften the spiciness of the bulgogi a bit.

How spicy is the bulgogi taco?

That said, the bulgogi inside the taco was noticeably spicier than I expected.

I'm not great with spicy food, so without the salad I think it would have been tough to keep eating.

At first I mixed salad into the taco, then later switched to alternating — a bite of taco, a bite of fruit salad — and the cool, refreshing fruit knocked back the heat quickly enough that I could enjoy it all the way through without getting tired of it.

Is People & Peoples enough food for two?

By the time we finished eating, it had gotten darker and the lights around us had come on, giving off an even stronger beer-garden feel than when we first sat down. Ordering a whole pizza plus the taco and salad was quite generous for two people — more than enough for dinner.

Overall, we were happy with the wide menu selection and the chance to eat comfortably outdoors, and it was especially nice to try a pizza a bit different from the usual, like the pastry pizza. That said, the bulgogi taco runs fairly spicy, so keep that in mind if you're not great with spicy food. If enjoying a hearty meal in a beer-garden atmosphere on a cool evening matters to you, People & Peoples, a Sangdong restaurant in Bucheon, is a solid choice.
