Nampo sushi set with ramen and a potato croquette: Moshi Moshi Sushi

When you're shopping in Nampo-dong or wandering around Lotte Department Store Gwangbok, you end up looking for somewhere to eat — this time I went to Moshi Moshi Sushi on the 10th floor dining hall of the main building at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok.
I was searching for a good sushi spot in Nampo-dong and this place was easy to visit since it's right inside the department store. What I liked especially was that besides sushi, there were set menus that come with udon and tempura too, so it works well as a full meal.

Moshi Moshi Sushi is on the 10th floor of the main building at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok. Since it's in the department store's dining hall, it's convenient to combine with shopping when you're looking for somewhere to eat in Nampo-dong. I personally liked that you can move around indoors even on hot or cold days.
From Nampo Station, you can head to the department store and take the elevator straight up to the 10th floor dining hall. Since it's inside a department store, it's a clean place to eat and seems good for various occasions, from family meals to dates.
What are the interior and seating like at Moshi Moshi Sushi?
Moshi Moshi Sushi has a clean, wood-toned interior overall, and since it's an open kitchen, you can catch a glimpse of the sushi being prepared. There are both table seats and bar-style seats, so it works well whether you're visiting as a couple or with family.
There are a lot of reviews saying it gets crowded during lunch hours, so if you want to eat leisurely, it might be good to arrive a bit early.

Moshi Moshi has a variety of set menus in addition to individual sushi items. One of the most popular is the sushi platter set, which comes with sushi plus tempura, udon, salad, and tofu salad.
If just sushi feels a bit lacking and you want to try several dishes together, going for a set menu is a good option.
There's also an assorted sushi set, which is a great fit if you want to try many kinds of sushi at once — from salmon and tuna to shrimp, white fish, eel, and egg.
What's in Set 4 Good at 58,900 won, and how did the sushi taste?
First, the side dishes came out neatly arranged, which got my hopes up right from the start of the meal.
This time we ordered Set 4 Good for ₩58,900.
It's a set for 2–3 people that comes with 18 pieces of sushi, fried shrimp, and one noodle dish — we chose ramen for the noodle dish. For reference, there's also a Set 4 Better option at ₩71,900, but this time we went with the Good version.
The sushi came in several different kinds, which was great for sharing between the two of us. Rather than eating just one kind, being able to taste a little of each really showed the advantage of ordering a set.
If you love sushi, being able to try lots of different kinds in one sitting is a nice perk. Especially if you want to handle both sushi and a full meal inside the department store, a set menu is the convenient choice.
Fried shrimp and the oversized ramen bowl
I also tried the fried shrimp included in Set 4, and it was seriously, seriously delicious. Fried up nice and crispy, it went really well alongside the sushi.
Eating only sushi can get a little rich after a while, but having a fried dish alongside it made the meal feel more varied.
The ramen we picked for the noodle dish was a warm soup dish that paired really well with the sushi, and the portion was genuinely huge.
When the bowl came out, I was totally shocked at how big it was.
Rather than just eating sushi, ordering the ramen alongside it makes for an even more filling meal.
Adding a potato croquette for 8,000 won
And on top of that, we also ordered a potato croquette for ₩8,000.
The croquette was crispy on the outside and soft inside, making it a great side dish.
The sushi set alone was already a decent portion, but adding the croquette on top meant the two of us ended up quite full. If you're visiting with a group, ordering one set and adding side dishes to share might work well too.
