Mellows is an organic soft-serve café on Wangsimni-ro 10-gil between Ttukseom Station and Seoul Forest in Seongdong, Seoul. On a hot day after lunch, the writer ordered matcha, peach, and mango Sangha Farm soft serve plus a decaf vanilla latte, finding the fruit chunks and crunchy toppings paired beautifully with the milky ice cream. Let me properly introduce Mellows, a dessert hotspot near Ttukseom Station.
It was one of those hot days when you desperately crave something cool and sweet. Looking for somewhere to recharge on sugar and relax, I ended up at Mellows, a Seoul Forest-vibe café famous for its Sangha Farm organic ice cream. By day it's a place for cool, sweet ice cream and coffee, and by night it transforms into an atmospheric bar — I had high expectations.

Location and exterior of Mellows
The red brick exterior caught my eye the moment I arrived. The name Mellows was written on the wall in stylish white script, giving off a warm yet sophisticated vibe even from a distance. The rounded arched brick lines at the entrance combined with the wood-framed glass door created a real neighborhood-café mood. According to the street sign, it's located at 7 Wangsimni-ro 10-gil — a very convenient stop while strolling around Seongsu and Ttukseom.

Interior atmosphere and menu lineup
Inside, a cozy, comfortable wood-toned interior welcomed me. I settled into a wooden table by the window, perfect for gazing out at the street and relaxing. On the wall, the daytime coffee-and-dessert menu and the evening bar menu were neatly posted side by side.

This place is known for soft serve made with Sangha Farm organic milk. Looking closely at the menu, the plain milk ice cream was 3.5, with affogato, matcha, chocolate, and peanut butter each at 4.0. Ice creams topped with fruit — peach, mango, strawberry — were 4.5. For drinks, there was an americano at 2.5, café latte at 3.2, vanilla latte at 3.5, and a decaf switch option (+0.3), so anyone sensitive to caffeine could order without worry. Non-coffee options like chocolate latte and matcha latte were also available. The evening menu listed cocktails like Espresso Martini and Mojito, plus a Suntory Highball and a Balvenie 12-year whiskey shot — this really felt like a great Ttukseom café-dessert spot to swing by for a light drink at night too.

Honest taste review: matcha, peach, mango soft serve and decaf vanilla latte
Having just had a filling lunch, we were craving something cool and sweet for dessert, so we ordered matcha soft serve, peach soft serve, mango soft serve, and a cool decaf vanilla latte.

The moment I saw the round, softly swirled ice creams arranged neatly on a wooden tray, I couldn't help but marvel. The pure white, cloud-like soft serve shapes were mood-lifting just to look at. I started with a spoonful of the peach ice cream — beneath the smooth, rich milk flavor was a sweet, crunchy layer of peach chunks at the bottom of the cup, and the combination was excellent. It wasn't an artificial sweetness but the fruit's natural fragrance mingling with the soft milk flavor, filling my mouth and lifting my mood.

The matcha ice cream that came alongside caught my eye with its deep green matcha syrup, crunchy crumble, and a long wafer roll cookie stuck in. The bittersweet, deep matcha flavor blended fantastically with the heavy, nutty character unique to Sangha Farm milk ice cream. There was a generous layer of cereal-like crunchy topping at the bottom, giving a satisfying crunch every time I mixed it with my spoon. Wow, my mouth is watering just writing about it.

The mango ice cream was equally impressive, with bright yellow mango topping that paired perfectly with the soft serve — one bite and I was fully sugar-recharged. Then I took a sip of the cool decaf vanilla latte, served in a generous eco-friendly cup, and all the heat seemed to melt away. The coffee's subtle bitterness combined nicely with the sweet vanilla syrup, perfect for alternating bites with the ice cream. I'd been so exhausted from the heat outside, but sitting in that cool space with sweet ice cream and coffee, I genuinely felt revived.
Overall review and summary
By day you can leisurely enjoy high-quality Sangha Farm ice cream, and by night you get a whole different whiskey-bar vibe — that's the charm of this Seoul Forest-style café, Mellows. The taste was excellent and the prices reasonable, so whenever I'm near Ttukseom, Seongsu, or Seoul Forest craving something cool and sweet, I'll definitely be back.
