FLU:ET, a choux dessert takeout shop in Sajik-dong

I was looking for somewhere to grab a good dessert in Sajik-dong and ended up at FLU:ET. Rather than a typical café where you sit and enjoy your drink and dessert in-store, FLU:ET turned out to be a takeout-only shop specializing in choux pastries.

I was curious because they say they carefully select every ingredient, from French fresh cream to New Zealand butter. I packed up several flavors to try, and they were even better than I expected, so let me introduce the place!

Why I went to FLU:ET in Sajik-dong

I found FLU:ET while searching for bakery cafés in Dongnae these days. I was especially curious about their cream-packed choux desserts, and since it's a takeout shop rather than a café for eating in, it seemed perfect for buying dessert simply and enjoying it at home.

I couldn't decide which flavor would be best, so wanting to try a bit of everything, I packed two plain choux, one Earl Grey choux, and one Boseong matcha choux.

Where FLU:ET is and where to park near Sajik Stadium

FLU:ET is located in Sajik-dong, Dongnae-gu, Busan, a good spot to combine with a visit to Sajik Market. It's also close to Sajik Stadium, so it would make a great snack to bring along during baseball season.

Since FLU:ET is a takeout-only choux dessert shop in Sajik-dong, it's not really a place to linger, so the shop itself was on the smaller, cozier side.

There's no dedicated parking lot, so I parked at the Gukmin Market public parking lot and walked over. If you're planning to visit by car, I'd recommend using a nearby public parking lot.

Three flavors of packed FLU:ET choux

I packed three flavors total: two plain choux, one Earl Grey choux, and one Boseong matcha choux. I added the matcha one especially because the staff said it was this week's brand-new flavor!

From the basic plain choux to Earl Grey and Boseong matcha, they had a good variety prepared, so it's great for packing a few different ones and sharing according to your taste.

How to store choux taken home from FLU:ET

Since choux is a cream-filled dessert, I was curious about storage after packing, and the staff kindly explained that you can refrigerate it, and if you're not eating it the same day, freeze it and thaw before eating.

Thanks to that, I could pack several at once without worrying about storage.

What FLU:ET's plain, Earl Grey and Boseong matcha choux taste like

FLU:ET's plain choux opened at home

The first one I tried at home was the plain choux. The soft cream inside made it lighter and tastier than I expected, not heavy at all.

FLU:ET's Earl Grey choux

The Earl Grey choux had a strong Earl Grey aroma that paired really well with the cream. I love Earl Grey desserts, so I really enjoyed this one — if you're into Earl Grey desserts like me, this will suit your taste perfectly.

Multiple flavors of FLU:ET choux packed together

Rather than picking just one flavor, it's nice to pack a few different ones like I did and enjoy the variety. The packaging is also neat, so it would make a nice light gift too.

The choux desserts were so good that next time I plan to go back for the fruit syrups too. If you're looking for a good dessert spot in Sajik-dong, I recommend FLU:ET!
