Choux café in Sajik-dong, Busan: frozen ice choux at FLU:ET
In short
FLU:ET is a choux dessert café that recently opened in Sajik-dong, Dongnae, Busan. Four kinds were taken away — Earl Grey, matcha, tiramisu choux and cream cheese apple choux — and the Earl Grey and matcha ones went into the freezer to be eaten as ice choux; each puff is bigger than an adult fist, so one with a coffee is plenty. FLU:ET is mainly a takeout shop, but one mini table inside means you can also eat quickly on the spot.

Today I headed out to Sajik-dong. 😊 I had some errands there and also went to the eye clinic because my eyes hurt, and by the time I came out I felt like I'd already done a whole day's worth of stuff — total capital-I introvert energy drain.... I needed a sugar refill.................. So before heading home, I stopped by FLU:ET, a Sajik-dong café specializing in choux desserts, and got a bunch of their choux flavors to take home.

What kind of café is FLU:ET in Sajik-dong, Busan?
FLU:ET is a brand-new choux dessert café that recently opened in Sajik-dong. It's run by just one owner, so if they sell out for the day you might miss out on what you wanted — you have to hustle over there haha. They also sell choux and fruit syrups.
These days when I pick a café I feel like I'm not just looking at how pretty the space is, but also what ingredients they use and how the desserts are made. FLU:ET stood out even in its basic ingredients — they use French cream and New Zealand butter. Since cream and butter are what really shape the base flavor of a dessert, knowing that beforehand made me look forward to it even more.

The tiramisu choux is their new menu item! Looking at the cross-section photo it looked so good...!! And they said it's filled with coffee cream, so I was like, I have to try this!! Saved it as my number one pick in my heart...☆

FLU:ET choux flavors: Earl Grey, matcha, tiramisu and cream cheese apple
Here's the choux menu at FLU:ET, the Sajik-dong choux dessert café! The basics are plain, cream cheese apple, and Earl Grey choux, and now they've added matcha choux and tiramisu choux as new items. I love both Earl Grey and matcha, so why does this place have exactly all my favorites....?

Does FLU:ET have seating, or is it takeout only?
There's one mini table inside FLU:ET, so it seems fine for a quick, simple bite before heading out. But it looks like most customers take their orders to go haha. I did takeout too.

I think it'd be great to buy the tomato basil syrup and make ade with it at home! I'm planning to come back just to buy the syrups next time haha.
Taking home four choux and freezing them for ice choux
At FLU:ET I bought four flavors: Earl Grey, matcha, tiramisu choux, and cream cheese apple choux. If you freeze the ones you're saving for the next day and take them out later, you can enjoy the choux with a slightly icy feel too.

There's also a prize draw event if you spend over ₩10,000! haha This is the kind of thing I used to see at the school supply shop in front of my elementary school — found a nostalgic item after all these years haha.

The table by the entrance gets nice sunlight and felt kind of like a photo zone, so I took pictures of my packed choux there too. They put everything in a clean paper bag, so it'd make a nice snack gift too!
How big are FLU:ET's choux, and how do they taste?
Bite-sized choux? Nope, not at all — these are much bigger than an adult fist!! The size where eating just one with coffee fully covers your dessert quota for the day!! I brought home each flavor packed with different creams, so you can pick and choose depending on your mood and still be happy! Since so many flavors matched my taste, I put the Earl Grey and matcha ones in the freezer to enjoy as ice choux later hahaha.
The charm of choux desserts is feeling the crisp outer shell together with the soft cream inside, which makes them especially good paired with coffee! On the first bite, the smooth cream flavor comes through first, followed by the light, crisp texture unique to choux, and it went really well with coffee. Rather than being an overly heavy or overly sweet dessert, it felt like something to enjoy slowly alongside coffee, which personally satisfied me a lot! 😍👍
A nice, no-pressure gift for anyone who loves dessert! If you're craving something sweet after a meal, or just want a break with good dessert and coffee, stop by FLU:ET. If you're looking for a choux dessert café in Sajik-dong, Busan, enjoying dessert with coffee at FLU:ET is a good call.😊
