Baby-friendly pho restaurant in Myeongji, Busan: Mibundang

I visited Mibundang Myeongji Branch, a Myeongji food spot known for lines at mealtimes. I loved how quiet it was — you could really focus on eating 🙌🏻 I thought it'd be great for two people or for eating solo 🙂 I'll share the exact location right below.

Where is Mibundang Myeongji Branch, and where do you park?

Mibundang Myeongji Branch is located in the Dasan Myeongji First World Complex 3 commercial building. Parking is free for 2 hours at the Posco Complex 3 underground parking lot.

Mibundang's storefront, kiosk ordering and menu prices

I visited Mibundang Myeongji Branch, known around Myeongji as a Vietnamese pho spot 🙌🏻

You order at the kiosk outside before going in.

Next to the kiosk there's a menu board.

The most basic brisket pho is ₩10,000 and the most expensive, beef tendon pho, is ₩14,000, so it wasn't a big price burden 👏🏻

It said the Naver rating was 4.89, and checking now it's gone up even more, to 4.9. A good rating usually has a reason, right? ☺️

Outside there was a water jug, and my partner thought it might be pho broth and tried it — turns out it was cold lemon water haha 😅 Since there's often a wait at lunchtime, it seemed like water provided out of consideration for waiting customers haha.

Inside Mibundang: bar seating and an open kitchen

Inside Mibundang Myeongji Branch, the atmosphere was quiet and calm, with people enjoying their pho — most ate silently, savoring the food, and even when talking, kept their voices low. Maybe that's why quite a few people were eating solo.

The inside had bar-style seating, and since it's an open kitchen, you could see the neatly kept kitchen.

Messages of support keep the owner motivated, and you can also write down anything you found lacking to help them improve — you can express yourself freely on sticky notes.

The air conditioner was on, so blankets were provided for anyone who gets cold.

I thought the use of space was really clever — under the table there were little sauce dishes and utensils, and overhead there were sauce bottles. It would've been easier to understand with a full shot, but I didn't manage to take one ㅠㅠ

How to season your pho: hoisin and hot sauce at 4:1

There was a small instruction message at the table.

There was a guide on how to enjoy the pho best. Following instruction No. 1, I mixed hoisin sauce and hot sauce at a 4:1 ratio, and it was really delicious 😗 It was so good my partner asked for refills of noodles and bean sprouts. Photos are below haha.

As soon as you sit down, they give you water along with onions, pickled peppers, and kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi).

How the chadolbagi pho, yangji pho and appetizer platter taste

We ordered brisket pho, beef (yangji) pho, and a mixed appetizer platter.

On the left is the yangji (beef) pho, on the right is the brisket pho.

The yangji in the yangji pho seemed like braised beef — perfect for my palate, since I like clean, light flavors 👍🏻

My partner's brisket pho wasn't as fatty as expected either. Spread out a big piece of meat and eat it with the noodles, and before you know it the bowl is empty haha.

This is the mixed appetizer platter — one piece of each kind comes out on both sides.

Buffalo wings, shrimp potato rolls, sweet potato spring rolls, and wedding siu mai — my pick was the shrimp potato rolls, my partner's pick was the sweet potato spring rolls haha.

Following the recommended way to eat it, I mixed in a little hot sauce and hoisin sauce, and thanks to the hoisin sauce it had a savory depth and a different kind of flavor 😗👍🏻 My partner refilled the noodles and bean sprouts.

How big are the free noodle and bean sprout refills?

They give you quite a big plate, you know?

Can you see it?! It's basically a whole new plate all over again 🙌🏻 It was so good the refill disappeared instantly too haha.

Final verdict: the owner's care on a meal out with a baby

Mibundang, right next to Myeongji Dasan Complex 3, is a restaurant well known for its pho. The quiet atmosphere makes it great for eating solo at lunch or for a date 👏🏻👏🏻 With noodles, bean sprouts, and even broth refillable, big eaters will be even more satisfied 👍🏻

And what I liked best was how kind the owner was ☺️ Since we have a baby, we inevitably brought her along, and she cried once in the middle of the meal 😅 So we had to step out once while eating, but the owner kept worrying about us not being able to eat properly and kept asking if we needed anything. I felt so sorry and so grateful 😭😭

I also noticed the owner proactively asking the male customers at the next table, 'You can get a refill — would you like one?' Seeing that, I thought — ah, this is why a place that gives generously can't fail, there's a reason places that do well, do well ☺️ If you want pho in Myeongji, I recommend Mibundang 👍🏻👍🏻
