I was deciding what to eat and remembered enjoying the king shrimp katsu from the mixed katsu set last time, so I ordered the king shrimp katsu set and added tonkatsu and fried chicken too! I'd only had a light sandwich for lunch, so I was a bit hungry and wanted a big dinner — ordered a little too much lol

They're also running a sweet potato korokke giveaway through a Naver review event, might be worth joining +.+

The Naver menu only shows a simplified version, so I photographed everything on the kiosk menu except drinks and alcohol lol. If you order the set, you get udon on the side too, so I'd recommend paying a bit extra for the full set

Inside Kosi: counter seats built for solo diners

The interior was spacious and clean! Lots of counter seats good for solo diners, so I sat at the counter

I got in right as break time ended, opening-run style, for the dinner slot, and it seemed like quite a lot of people showed up even at this early dinner hour @.,@ Some takeout customers too..!

My hearty full spread :-) The portion was way bigger than expected, I was surprised lol @.,@ King shrimp katsu is bigger than regular shrimp, but last time I only had one piece and felt it wasn't quite enough, so I wanted to add tonkatsu as a side plus fried chicken I'd been wanting to try — but once it all arrived, the portion was way, way too much lol

The fried chicken was bigger than I expected so it looked like even more food, kind of a feeling within a feeling..^^..!

Since I ordered the king shrimp katsu as a set, udon came with it too — Kosi near Seoul National University Entrance Station is originally an udon and tonkatsu specialty restaurant, so I'd recommend ordering both to try lol (it's a cold udon specialty but I've only ever had the hot version, oops^^;)

How does the king shrimp katsu at Kosi taste?

The king shrimp katsu was super crispy and delicious! The batter was so crunchy — since I like a crispy texture, I really enjoyed it(^^)* Personally I'd recommend big eaters like me order one more side lol

Dipping it into this sauce is the tastiest way to eat it haha

Extra tonkatsu with salt, wasabi and sauce

The tonkatsu was thick too!

You can eat the tonkatsu with salt, salt plus wasabi,

and tonkatsu sauce too, so many combos to try — good! (Don't forget to grind sesame seeds into the tonkatsu sauce lol)

How much fried chicken do you get, and how salty is it?

The fried chicken pieces were really about half an adult woman's fist each, and there were four of them, so the portion was bigger than expected

I don't like dry meat but all the pieces were soft like chicken thigh meat! It seemed to be brined already, since it tasted slightly salty even without dipping it in salt or sauce!

So you really don't need to dip it in salt^^;lol

How many sides should you add to the king shrimp katsu set?

Putting fried chicken into udon like this basically makes it tori-ten bukkake udon, doesn't it..! (though tori-ten bukkake udon is technically cold udon^^;lol)

Adding two whole side dishes to one set menu meant I ate until I was completely stuffed at Kosi, a restaurant near Seoul National University Entrance Station! Two extra sides is too much — one side dish alongside the king shrimp katsu seems about right^! It's a great place for solo dining, so I recommend it to fellow solo diners 'ㅡ'*
