Last Friday my boyfriend and I had dinner after work and just couldn't bring ourselves to go straight home lol. So we went for a drink at Mokhwa Silbi (목화실비), a Seomyeon bar with an outdoor-camping vibe.
Eating cheese-loaded chicken feet in a spot that felt like camping, the drinks went down so smoothly ~ ~ Chatting away with delicious chicken feet and a glass 🍶 — had a happy Friday night.

Seomyeon bar Mokhwa Silbi is about a 5-minute walk from Seomyeon Station Exit 6. It's open Sun-Thu 17:00-02:00 and Fri-Sat 17:00-03:00.

What does the inside of Mokhwa Silbi look like?
The inside of Mokhwa Silbi had just as good a vibe . . ! Yellow bulbs strung across the ceiling, and the floor made of stepping stones plus wood, so it really felt like you'd wandered into a campground. The tables were spaced generously apart too and the space was pretty wide, so it was great for chatting away over drinks

They also had a bunch of other delicious drinking snacks like curry dakdoritang (braised spicy chicken), odolppyeo (cartilage), mochi tofu, fish-cake and fried tofu stew, perfect for a drink. (There were also set menus for 2-3 people, good for group gatherings.) We'd been craving chicken feet for a while so we ordered the fondue chicken feet ~ ~ !

The complimentary side dishes were pink sausage and acorn jelly salad. We'd already had dinner so we started off slow with those and a drink haha

Then while sitting there chatting away, I happened to glance up and — the ceiling was completely open ! ! ! ! >.< I mean, am I not a total sucker for outdoor seating . . . Outdoor-camping vibes, need I say more, the atmosphere was seriously top-tier
What comes with the 32,000-won fondue chicken feet?
Ta-da, the ultimate visual — chicken feet arriving. Cheese fondue + tulip-cut chicken feet + nachos + stir-fried noodles, the combo is insane . . ! ! Kind of a menu made to win women's hearts haha
The chicken feet came drenched in spicy-sweet sauce and the stir-fried noodles portion was seriously generous . . ! Honestly chicken feet and stir-fried noodles taste bad once they go cold, but they put it right on the gas burner so we could keep eating it warm the whole time, which made it even better
Before digging into the chicken feet, we put on the apron and hygiene gloves they gave us — ready to eat!
How do the tulip chicken feet taste?
These were honestly the plumpest chicken feet I've ever seen, spicy-sweet and chewy-bouncy — perfect with soju >.< The very tips were already all trimmed so they were even easier to eat, haha
After one bite of chicken feet, cheers with soju. Friday night was truly. blazing.
Does the cheese fondue harden as you eat?
The cheese fondue portion was also seriously generous (no need to worry about running out), and thanks to the burner underneath, the fondue never hardened >.<
Dipping a chicken foot heavily into the cheese, yum. Chewy-bouncy texture + spicy chicken feet paired with gooey cheddar cheese fondue — need I say more. The chicken feet alone are already delicious, spicy-sweet, but dipped in fondue it tastes completely different again, so I ate it this way ~ ~ then that way ~ ~ thoroughly enjoying every bite.
Is one order enough for two, noodles included?
Honestly the chicken feet with cheese alone would already be a huge amount of food, but then they give you stir-fried noodles too, so it's seriously a steal . . ! The noodles came slightly firm, not overly soft, which I liked even more, and the seasoning seemed to be made from the same sauce as the chicken feet . . ? It also had that spicy-sweet + salty flavor. Delicious wrapped around the chicken feet, and also good eaten on its own
If you finish all of that noodle dish you'll be totally full . . ~ (we came having already eaten so we couldn't finish it all . . ) but it seemed like it'd make a great first round of drinks and food too
In between bites of chicken feet, we also kept dipping nachos generously into the cheese, and piled noodles on top of the nachos too. We ordered just one menu item but there was so much variety to eat, it made for a great range of drinking snacks this way and that.
