Looking for somewhere for a second round after dinner in Busan, I found this recommended Seomyeon bar!

I wanted to go somewhere with proper side dishes, so I visited Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch. There are so many bars in Seomyeon these days, right? I looked around and was genuinely surprised. This place caught my eye because of its wide variety of Korean-style side dishes. And the name of what we ordered was striking from the start: O, Dae, Bal!

What is the atmosphere like inside Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch?
Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch is on the second floor, and once inside, the space was bigger than I expected. The tables weren't cramped at all, and the overall vibe felt comfortable — a good first impression.

It seemed like a good spot for a group of friends, but also relaxed enough for just two people to grab drinks!

I could see why it's become a Seomyeon hotspot. The owner and staff were also friendly. At a bar, the food matters, but easy, welcoming service definitely makes the whole meal feel better haha.
A photo menu that makes ordering easy
The menu at Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch includes photos of each dish, which made ordering easy even on a first visit. This was something I personally really liked!

When you visit somewhere for the first time, sometimes you have no idea what a dish is just from its name, right? Here, I could choose while looking at the photos, which was convenient. The menu was quite varied too — sundubu mala gopchang (soft tofu spicy pork skin), Yuumangju-e Dakmoatdak (mixed chicken platter), and more. Honestly, I spent a while agonizing over the menu, wanting to try everything haha.
The complimentary sides: garlic bread and garlic chips
At Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch, garlic bread and garlic chips came out as the basic side dishes. While waiting for our order, I kept reaching for them.

They were perfect for picking at before the main dish arrived. Since I love garlic bread, I was pretty satisfied right from the start haha. The garlic chips were crispy too, great for nibbling with drinks one by one. With the basic sides being this good, I started getting excited for the main dish.
What comes on the O-Dae-Bal platter?
O-Dae-Bal is a side dish at Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch that brings together beef intestine and chicken feet, with cuttlefish in between, all on one plate. And it finally arrived: O, Dae, Bal!

True to its name, it felt like all the good stuff gathered in one place. For anyone who hates having to pick just one thing, this combo is genuinely great. First, the beef intestine! One bite and that distinctive savory flavor immediately made me want a drink. This is probably why the menu lineup matters so much when hunting for a good Seomyeon bar haha.
Chicken feet that keep the soju flowing
Then I tried the chicken feet too. Eating beef intestine, then chicken feet, then cuttlefish... even though it's one plate, it feels like you're eating a different dish each time.

Sometimes eating just one thing over and over gets a little tiring by the end, right? With O-Dae-Bal, I could pick and choose, so I kept reaching for more all the way through. Honestly, a dish like this practically demands drinks haha. I think it'd be a solid main side dish recommendation for anyone looking for a good Seomyeon bar.
Why the cuttlefish is the smartest bite on the plate
Personally, what I liked most was the cuttlefish. Its chewy texture sitting between the beef intestine and chicken feet worked really well as a combo. Beef intestine → cuttlefish → chicken feet — I kept alternating between them haha. Being able to enjoy several textures and flavors in one dish was the biggest charm of O-Dae-Bal.
Best for when you want variety in one order
I also liked that Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch has a wide range of Korean-style side dishes. Besides the O-Dae-Bal we had, looking through the menu, there were quite a few other dishes I was curious about. In particular, sundubu mala gopchang (soft tofu spicy pork skin) and Yuumangju-e Dakmoatdak (mixed chicken platter) are apparently popular choices. I'd like to try other dishes next time — a nice excuse to come back haha.
Looking for a busy spot in Seomyeon, Busan?
Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch had a relaxed atmosphere, good for having a casual drink with friends. Visiting in person, I found the space spacious and comfortable, even in the middle of bustling Seomyeon.

Above all, the variety of side dishes means it works well for a group with different tastes! If you're looking for a Seomyeon hotspot to visit with friends, this could be a good candidate.
Why Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch stands out for Seomyeon drinking food
When choosing a bar, I tend to care more about the side dishes than the drinks themselves. If the side dishes are good, the drinking naturally follows haha. In that sense, Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch was exactly my style. The O-Dae-Bal in particular was very satisfying since I could eat beef intestine, chicken feet, and cuttlefish all at once. If you like that kind of combination, it's worth a visit as a great Seomyeon spot for side dishes.
What we would order on a return visit to Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch
This time at Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch, I got to try the O-Dae-Bal firsthand. From the basic garlic bread and garlic chips to the main side dish, I ate well overall.

The staff were friendly, and I liked that the space was spacious and comfortable. Above all, it seems like a good option for a second round in Seomyeon even if you're coming from Busan Station or another area.

If you don't want to agonize over whether to get beef intestine or chicken feet, just going straight for O-Dae-Bal is one way to solve that haha. If you're like me and prioritize "places with good side dishes" when searching for a Seomyeon bar recommendation, this should suit you well. Next time, I'm curious about the sundubu mala gopchang, so I'd like to revisit and try other dishes. It was a day I wanted good side dishes with a drink, and this Seomyeon hotspot in Busan wrapped it up nicely :)
