You can reserve through Naver or just call — they're friendly on the phone too, so if you're coming as a group, I'd recommend calling ahead. I'd actually studied the Instagram menu beforehand to decide what to order, but once I walked in there were so many delicious-looking dishes that I ended up second-guessing myself all over again... The exterior alone had such good vibes, honestly the best.
Even the menu I glanced at by the entrance looked so appetizing that my expectations shot way up. Beijing food... I love this kind of unusual cuisine so much ^^
Seating and ordering: a kiosk on every table
Mirim Yangjang Daegu has a kiosk at every table, so there's no need to flag down staff. It's a great Gyodong, Daegu bar for group dinners too. The seats were roomy overall, no cramped feeling at all. Places that are small and packed with tables squeezed together get hot and stuffy even after just a short while, ugh. Thanks to the kiosks, there was none of that noisy call-bell dinging either. You just pick what you want on the kiosk and order! We came for duck and noodles today~! Both were so delicious, highly recommend those two.
The wide-open windows felt refreshing too, and somehow you could feel Gyodong's trendy energy even while just tipping back a glass. If you reserve ahead, they'll hold a reserved seat for you, so I'd recommend calling in advance if you're planning a group dinner.
The basic table setting was so clean and nice, you know? Each plate had a stylish cover on it, and they gave us a sweet-salty peanut side dish too. Sipping beer with these basic sides while waiting for the food^^
A glass of Tsingtao and thoughts of travel
Tsingtao is a must at Mirim Yangjang, right? Lately I've been getting the itch to travel abroad, so I tried soothing that feeling at this Gyodong, Daegu bar haha. I didn't realize how much I missed this beer. Gyodong is such a busy, crowded street, but relaxing here with a cold beer like this felt so nice.
