Looking for a spot to fill up on good meat with family this weekend, I checked out Daepae Maket Daeyeon Branch, a rising favorite among Daeyeon-dong restaurants in Busan and one of the go-to spots for thinly-sliced pork belly in the area. If you've been searching for a family restaurant with a kids' playroom or a place for a group gathering, remember this one!

Parking is usually the biggest worry for people driving in, but Daepae Maket Daeyeon Branch, a favorite spot for thinly-sliced pork belly in Daeyeon-dong, has a really solid support system for drivers. It supports 4 nearby parking lots: Sinjuchajang, Modeunjuchajang, Gagahoho Juchajang, and Ashley Juchajang. All of them are located close to the restaurant, so access is very convenient!

Note that parking support is for 1 hour, and after 22:00 only Gagahoho Juchajang and Ashley Juchajang are available, so keep that in mind if you're visiting late! It's easy to reach by car as well as public transit, making it a great spot for group gatherings~

A spacious, clean dining room with a big playroom

One of parents' biggest worries during a family outing is "will the kids get bored?" This restaurant is a Daeyeon-dong spot with a kids' playroom that completely erases that concern, so I had high expectations before visiting.

Visiting in person, the interior was really spacious and kept sparkling clean! The tables were spaced generously and group seating was well set up, so even with lots of guests it never felt cramped and we could eat comfortably~ Especially great: a dedicated playroom tucked into one side of the restaurant where kids can safely run around, so the kids get to play while the adults chat comfortably and grill meat — the best setup!

A self bar with about 30 items, and menu prices

They run a self bar with about 30 items — vegetables and side dishes to go with the meat, snacks, even desserts.

For a small fee, you can enjoy unlimited fresh lettuce wraps and various side dishes — the value for money was honestly surprising.

There's also a kids' menu — mini pork cutlet, chicken nuggets, and seaweed-flake rice — served on a cute dinosaur tray or Catch! Teenieping tray (₩4,000), showing thoughtful care for guests with kids.

5 servings of Duroc acorn-fed thinly-sliced pork belly, how was it?

We started with 5 servings of the signature [Premium Duroc, acorn-fed] thinly-sliced pork belly. As soon as we ordered, the thin slices went straight onto the hot grill — the meat being thin so it cooks fast is a big part of the charm of this cut!

Maybe because it's Duroc raised on acorns, there was zero gamey smell, and a nutty aroma filled the air the more it cooked. The moment it hit my mouth it was tender, not dry at all, with juice and nutty flavor bursting through — my kid ate it right up~

Finishing with DIY fried rice

Once we'd eaten a good amount of meat, we added a bowl of rice so the meal wouldn't lose momentum, mixing it with the leftover meat on the grill, kimchi, and self-bar ingredients into a tasty fried rice~

(By the way, if you join the review event you can get the DIY fried rice or iced yellow peaches free, so don't skip it!) On the way out, there was even sweet ice cream! A Daeyeon-dong BBQ place with a kids' playroom that nails every step — that's Daepae Maket Daeyeon.
