Cheese chimney bread at a Dobong coffee shop in Seoul: Uisagye
In short
Uisagye is a chimney bread (trdelník) café beside the Uicheon Stream walking path in Dobong-gu, Seoul. On an 11am visit, the quiet second-floor window seat came with cheese chimney bread, a vanilla latte and the signature Uicheonspenner, and the salty, nutty cheese chimney bread went especially well with coffee. Uisagye is worth a stop if you want stream views and dessert during a calm morning hour.

On a day when the weather was just too nice, I was walking along the Uicheon Stream path and stumbled onto this gorgeous, mood-filled café.

It's Uisagye, a chimney bread spot sitting between Suyu and Changdong — the space was so pretty and unhurried that I was completely satisfied, so let me go through the full review! ☕️✨

Where is Uisagye, what are the hours and where can you park?
Uisagye is located at 178 Uicheon-ro, Dobong-gu, Seoul (Changdong 552-19), and it's open daily from 10:00 to 21:00. For inquiries or more details, check Naver Place — they also run an official Instagram.
🚗 Parking tip — Uisagye sits in a residential alley along the Uicheon Stream, so you'll want to use the nearest public parking lot! The recommended one is Changdong 3-dong Public Parking Lot No. 1 (504-21 Changdong, Dobong-gu, Seoul). It's a short walk from the café, so if you're driving, parking there safely and walking over is the easiest way.
How quiet is Uisagye at 11am?
Visiting Uisagye at 11am, I loved how quiet and calm the place was. Right from the outside, a cute oversized ribbon and a chimney-shaped structure greet you, and once inside, everything is packed in nicely — a cozy first floor, a stylishly furnished second floor, and an open rooftop terrace.

😊 The charming first-floor counter at Uisagye

Once you walk through the door, the first-floor space greets you with a clean yet warm combination of wood tones and white.

An eye-opening full window view! The staff were also kind and walked me through the menu, so ordering was a pleasant experience. After ordering, head upstairs to the second floor — follow this red staircase up!

Uicheon Stream views from the second-floor window seats
The moment I got to the second floor of Uisagye, I fell for the clean full window view.

Sitting at the second-floor window seat, the lush Uicheon Stream walking path and the blue sky filled the view outside — just sitting there quietly felt healing.

There's a terrace through the side door, and further inside there are comfy chairs and tables too! If you want to space out quietly or grab pretty photos away from the crowds, I highly recommend visiting in the morning!
While I was taking photos and hanging out, the buzzer went off, so time to pick up the order!

They give you scissors and tongs along with it.
How do the cheese chimney bread, vanilla latte and Uicheonspenner taste?
Uisagye is a chimney bread (trdelník) specialty shop, so ordering chimney bread is a must! We went with cheese. For drinks, we ordered a vanilla latte and the signature Uicheonspenner — the small cup is the Uicheonspenner, and the chimney-shaped cup is the vanilla latte.

It was my first time having chimney bread, so I wasn't totally sure if you're supposed to cut it up like this, but it looked so delicious.
- Cheese chimney bread: the outside is golden and crisp with baked-on cheese — salty with pops of sweetness in between and a full savory flavor, the pairing with coffee was genuinely the best! 🧀
- Vanilla latte: sweet, smooth syrup mixed with rich espresso, perfect for a sugar recharge,
- Uicheonspenner: true to being the signature menu item, it's topped with a thick, springy layer of cream. Eat the sweet-bitter cream first, then drink the coffee underneath — the flavor makes you gasp with delight.
🥐 Uisagye's other chimney breads and drinks
You can choose from a range depending on your taste — the plain, clean-flavored original, the sweetly fragrant cinnamon, the sweet chocolate, and the hearty gimbap chimney bread. There's also a refreshing handmade omija (schisandra berry) ade and a uniquely charming Lemoni-cano, so keep those in mind too!

*Restrooms: women's on the 1st floor, men's on the 2nd floor!

💡 Final verdict on Uisagye
This was such a great stop while walking along Uicheon Stream — the delicious chimney bread and the mood-filled views were perfect together, I got plenty of great photos, and there was never a dull moment in the space. If you want to enjoy tasty desserts in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, definitely visit Uisagye! 200% would come back 👍🏻
