Suwon course restaurant sharing pomodoro and bisque pasta: Hado
In short
Hado is a casual dining course restaurant on Hyanggyo-ro in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. Two diners ordered the 45,000 won basic course, upgraded one to the chuck flap sous vide steak for 21,000 won more, and picked two different pastas — minari yuzu bisque and pomodoro — to trade back and forth. The Earl Grey ice cream was the pick of the night, and Hado is worth saving as a blind-date spot.

Found this good-vibes restaurant in Suwon called Hado ♫ It's a short walk from Suwon Station over near Hyanggyo-ro, and it's less the stiff, formal-dining kind of place and more casual dining where you can enjoy a course meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Seems like a lot of people come here as a Suwon Station blind date spot or date spot!

Hyanggyo-ro at night and the Hado storefront
The Haenggung-dong street lit up as evening came on! This is what the storefront looked like.

There's the Gyodong Public Parking Lot right next to the store, and there was plenty of space too!

The interior really was black-toned with soft lighting, and since it's an open kitchen you can watch the food being made too.

Hado's 45,000 won basic course and the 21,000 won steak upgrade
We ordered the Hado basic course for ₩45,000 each, for two people. One of us upgraded to the chuck flap sous vide steak (+₩21,000), and order complete!

Course starting!

First course: two kinds of tart
🌿 The course opened with a green pea tart and a sweet shrimp apple tart. Bite-sized tarts, so a light start, but the two had completely different charms, which made it fun to compare as we ate.

The green pea tart is centered on the clean, nutty flavor of the peas, and eaten together with the thin, crisp tart shell, the texture was great.
The sweet shrimp apple tart had a nice refreshing feel plus the umami of the sweet shrimp. The sweet shrimp and apple combo worked better together than I expected.

Second course: minari yuzu bisque pasta vs pomodoro
🍝 Once the pasta came out, it really felt like the course was kicking into gear!

🍋 The minari (water celery) yuzu bisque pasta is a pasta where the fresh scent of minari meets yuzu's brightness, layered with the deep flavor of bisque! It has a rich seafood-based flavor, but with minari and yuzu in there too, the aroma overall was really multi-dimensional. Felt like a pasta with a personality you can only get at Hado.

🍅 The pomodoro is a relatively familiar menu item, but eating it after a while, it felt fresh again. It's a clean, tomato-centered flavor, so we traded bites with the minari yuzu bisque pasta. One side was fragrant and full of character, the other was clean and tomato-forward — the two pastas were clearly different in personality. If two of you are doing the course, I'd recommend picking different pasta menus and sharing!

Third course: chuck flap and chicken breast sous vide steak
🥩 The chuck flap sous vide steak had just the right doneness, and it definitely had that proper main-dish feel. The roasted carrot that came with it was really good too.

The chicken breast sous vide steak also had a tasty carrot puree underneath, and the chicken breast itself was quite moist, so it went down soft and easy. The fried quinoa on top was especially nice for adding some crunch.
Dessert at Hado: Earl Grey ice cream
🍨 And then the dessert everyone was waiting for! Earl Grey ice cream 🤎 My one pick out of everything we ate that day..! The fragrant Earl Grey aroma was strong, and the ice cream itself was soft and creamy — genuinely delicious.
Is Hado a good blind date or date restaurant in Suwon?
Eating it at the very end of the course, my mouth felt cleaned out while a faint black tea aroma lingered — loved that so much 😊 If you're looking for a good course restaurant in Suwon, since the dishes come out one at a time, you naturally get time to talk, and the atmosphere isn't too loud or hectic either, so I'd recommend saving this as a blind date spot candidate!
