Billadeubeulleu, a Seongsu steak spot. This is where I picked for lunch on this day-trip to Seoul. My friend and I were torn between this and the Haebangchon branch, but since our route was around the Seongsu popup street, this one won out!

A great spot for a nice lunch and a mood reset while wandering around~ There's a charming terrace plus a cozy indoor space, so you can pick whichever suits your taste — it's popular enough that reservations are a must on weekends.

Billadeubeulleu sits right near the Seongsu popup street, where the city's most unique, quirky little shops cluster together. No parking, but it's close to Seoul Forest Station so getting there is easy.

The exterior catches your eye from far away. The little terrace seats outside were so pretty, but honestly, since I figured it might get a bit hot at midday, I'd booked an indoor table instead — a small regret. Being the weekend, the outdoor seats were already fully booked anyway, so we couldn't have sat there even if we wanted to, ugh.

Stepping into Billadeubeulleu Seongsu, the whole place feels classic yet sophisticated! It has this exotic touch while still being quiet and calm enough to focus on your meal — I loved it. Parking's tough given the location, but as a Seoul Forest Station restaurant it's genuinely unbeatable for accessibility, right by the subway station bb

The table spacing at our seat wasn't super wide, but you still couldn't hear conversations from the next table over, so it felt pretty private and easy to focus on the meal — I liked that. Great for enjoying pasta near Seoul Forest Station too, seems like the kind of place couples or groups of friends gather for a date course.

The menu at this Seongsu restaurant. As befits a pasta spot near Seoul Forest Station, we picked the cheese lasagna first! Honestly this is what I came here for haha. The Seongsu lasagna is an absolute must-eat — deep, rich flavor that had me marveling the whole time.

And since it's known as a Seongsu steak spot, I asked about the T-bone to give it a shot, but it turned out to be too much food for two, so we ordered the hanwoo (Korean beef) pepper steak 150g instead. There were plenty of other varied menu items too, but since we planned to grab various snacks afterward, we stuck to just these two.

I liked that the inside has an open-kitchen feel. The vibe at Billadeubeulleu is kind of... young and Western?

How does the Seongsu lasagna taste? Cheese poured at your table

After a short wait, the much-anticipated Seongsu lasagna arrived. They bring it over and pour the cheese out right in front of you — mouth-watering stuff.

Layers of fresh pasta dough packed with plenty of cheese and a special ragu sauce! Fresh out of the oven, still steaming, blended with all that cheese — it was pure deliciousness in appearance alone.

Cut into easy bites with a knife, the rich, savory cheese flavor and the umami of the well-simmered meat sauce spread smoothly across the whole palate.

The thick, chewy texture of the fresh pasta was excellent too, so I never got tired of it and kept reaching for more. If you're someone who loves lasagna in general, coming to Billadeubeulleu for the Seongsu lasagna would be such a great choice.

Next came the hanwoo pepper steak! Truly looked the part of a Seongsu steak spot, and honestly it had a presentation I hadn't seen anywhere else, which drew me in even more. Neatly grilled hanwoo beef topped with pepper sauce — cut into easy bites, one taste and it was pure tenderness. A savory rush of juices filled my mouth as the distinctive spicy kick of pepper cleanly rounded out the hanwoo flavor without being overpowering. Not overly strong, yet the meat's natural richness lingered — worth a look if you're on the hunt for Seongsu steak.

The crispy fries that came alongside were genuinely delicious too, a total paradise. After finishing, we even had ice cream for dessert — what is this level of quality? Seriously, this place nails everything from the main dish to dessert.
