I came in through the 2nd floor, and stepping inside felt even more trendy and clean-cut. The designer greeted me so kindly that it put me in a great mood.

At Toni&Guy Seongsu, I filled out a detailed consultation form before the cut. What I liked about the consultation was how thorough the form was — desired look, face shape, whether I tie my hair up often, my usual styling habits, parting shape, whether I often tuck hair behind my ears, and more. For the style I was going for, I checked off a feminine mood.

I didn't show designer Sangyeon any reference photos — I just left it up to her, and the result was layered hair with a hush-cut feel. I didn't bring any photos; the moment I saw how stylish Sangyeon herself was, I just said, please do whatever you think is best!

Her hands moved fast but she was still so meticulous, and I felt she gave me a slightly distinctive style tailored to my hair length and face shape.

It had a bit of a hush-cut feel with layers throughout, which made my hair look so much lighter overall.

How to blow-dry and flat-iron the layered cut at home

Finished look! The back had more layers than I expected, which surprised me a little at first, but she showed me separately how to blow-dry it and how to use a flat iron, so I could style it nicely myself. You know how it looks great at the salon but you turn into a total disaster the moment you get home... but she explained it so carefully.

When I sweep my bangs to the side, they fall so naturally and look pretty. The whole vibe feels more elegant and a bit more upscale now!
