7 pm yacht sailing with siblings in Yeongdeungpo: Sailing Paradise

With a rare day off, I wanted to make a different kind of memory with my siblings, so we went for a special experience on Seoul’s Han River! ♥ It was Sailing Paradise, famous for its Seoul Han River yacht tours! It was such a satisfying time, getting to enjoy both the sunset and night view, each with a charm completely different from daytime!

Getting to Sailing Paradise and parking

Sailing Paradise is located inside Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul. Since it is farther into the park, it may feel a little unfamiliar at first, but you just need to head toward where the yachts are gathered, haha.

I took the subway! From Exit 3 of Yeouinaru Station on Line 5, it takes about 15 minutes on foot. It is a bit of a walk, but it felt like a stroll while looking out over the Han River, so it was not boring at all, haha.

Once you start seeing yachts one by one in the distance, you are almost there! Sailing Paradise is below the marina, so follow the signs down.

Getting ready for the 7 pm sunset sailing

I reserved the 7 pm slot to match sunset time. I had heard that a sailing could be canceled if there were not enough people, but thankfully, even though it was a weekday Monday, the reservation filled up and we were able to depart as planned, haha. The weather was wonderful too. There was no rain and the sky was clear, so I was already full of anticipation before we set off, haha.

Before boarding, you first fill out a boarding declaration form for insurance.

And finally, here was the yacht I would be riding that day! The sky stretching out behind it was already so beautiful that I could not help taking photos ♥

Time inside the yacht and on deck

Finally, aboard the yacht! It was actually my first time on a yacht, so I was incredibly excited from the start. Haha.

It was much more spacious and neatly maintained than I expected, so I loved it from the first impression. There was a comfortable seating area inside, and they said there was also a space downstairs where you could relax. Our goal was to take in as much of the Han River scenery and sunset as possible, so we spent most of our time up on deck, haha.

As soon as we departed, the Seoul Han River scenery unfolded before us, and I could not help but gasp. The forest of buildings, the Han River, and the refreshing breeze. It was amazing that you could have such a relaxed time right in the middle of Seoul! Best of all, the captain kindly explained the surroundings from time to time. It felt more meaningful because it was not simply a yacht ride; it became a time to get to know the Han River a little better, haha.

From sunset to Seoul’s night view

After a little while, the sunset we had been waiting for finally started to appear. As of June 22, it seems that booking the 7 pm slot lets you enjoy everything from sunset to the night view. The orange sunset gradually changed into a pink sky, and the city lights began to come on little by little—it was a view I will never forget. I loved that atmosphere that photos can never fully capture!

The star of the photo is my sibling, haha. The scenery was so pretty that I do not even know how many photos I took! Every spot was good enough for a once-in-a-lifetime shot, so I kept taking pictures ♥

They also prepared wine and simple snacks partway through.

Listening to soft music while looking at the sunset made me feel as if I were on a trip! Wine tasted so much better than usual with such beautiful scenery, haha.

From the sunset to the pink sky and then Seoul’s sparkling night view. It was only a little over an hour, but thanks to Sailing Paradise, it became a precious memory that made the day truly special, haha.

It felt even more meaningful because I could laugh, take photos, and chat with my siblings while enjoying a relaxed time together for the first time in a while. It was a time that reminded me once again that even an ordinary day can become one I remember for a long time when I am with people I treasure, even if it is not a special occasion!

After getting off the yacht, we wrapped up the day with Hangang ramyeon (instant noodles cooked at the Han River) right in front of us. Hangang ramyeon after a yacht ride, sunset, and night view honestly needed no words, haha. It was a truly perfect day from beginning to end >..<
