Seoul shared yacht tour with night views: Sailing Paradise

In short

Sailing Paradise is a yacht-tour activity on the Han River in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. On a rainy evening, I shared a small yacht with other couples, enjoyed wine and snacks, and watched the river views turn into Seoul’s nightscape. A memorable pick for a couple’s date or a birthday party with friends.

Where can you ride a yacht on the Han River in Yeouido?

To get to Sailing Paradise, head to the dock near Yeouido First Parking Lot, where the duck boats and yachts are! It’s close to the 63 Building, too.

Traffic was terrible, so we arrived five minutes before departure and I was worried we’d miss it. Thankfully, it was close to the parking lot.

Sadly, it had been cloudy and raining since morning on the day I went, so I boarded hoping it wouldn’t rain during the ride haha. It wasn’t bad enough for the yacht to be unable to depart, so it wasn’t canceled—but if the weather is really bad, the captain will contact you in advance, apparently~

How to find the Sailing Paradise office

There are several operators at the dock, so I’ll tell you exactly how to find Sailing Paradise. Once you find the building in the photo below, go down the stairs rather than heading to Hangang Barbecue!

You’ll see machines for making Han River ramyeon (instant noodles); walk past them, then take the right at the fork. The Sailing Paradise office is at the far end on the right.

How is yacht pricing determined?

Prices vary according to the yacht’s size and whether you charter it privately, so it’s best to inquire for the details.

My shared small-yacht ride

We booked a shared small yacht, and there were other couples besides us. The yacht was more compact than I expected, so at first I was like, huh?

But the captain said that the bigger the boat, the more it feels like taking a sightseeing cruise, while a smaller yacht feels more vivid and fun. Once we were on it, the captain was exactly right! Even though it wasn’t private, we had so much fun as if we were hanging out with friends haha.

Once we boarded, the captain pulled out wine and snacks.

Wine and snacks provided on the yacht

It had been drizzling right up until we boarded, but amazingly, the weather cleared the moment the yacht set off! Who was the weather fairy?

The captain played soft music, which made it even more atmospheric. It was my first Han River yacht-tour date, and it was just so nice.

To raise the energy even more, we drank wine with the other couple~ The captain had to drive, so he only raised an empty glass to cheers with us haha.

The space below deck and Han River views

There’s a secret room down the yacht stairs! It was decorated like the kind of space you see when rich kids hang out on a yacht in a drama. It’s cozy, but there’s a table and a bed, so you can relax comfortably~

The yacht made a wide loop around the Han River, so we could take in Namsan Tower, the 63 Building, and Fairmont Ambassador Seoul all at once.

I boarded at 7 pm, so I got to see the night view too. It made me think, was Seoul always this beautiful? The atmosphere was so good that I lost track of time while taking in the scenery.

The captain let us take photos freely and spend our time comfortably, which made for an even more enjoyable date. We even got to play captain,

and took lots of photos on the yacht too haha.

I was also so thankful that they let us ride a little longer than our booked timeㅠㅜ We were on board for a little over an hour, but it was already time to get off, which was such a shame.

If only the weather had cooperated a little more, we could have taken photos in a sunset view like this, right? Haha (a sunset scene made by GPT lol)
