Songjeong café with kiosk ordering and a free teabag: Suwolgyeonghwa

Today I'm sharing my review of Suwolgyeonghwa (수월경화), which I visited near Songjeong Beach! I was looking for an ocean-view café around Songjeong when I found this place — since you can see the whole sea from here, I was excited even before I got there 🌊

Where is Suwolgyeonghwa, and what are its hours and parking?

Suwolgyeonghwa is a café located on the 4th floor of a building at 188 Songjeong-jungang-ro 6beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea. It's open 11:00–23:00 (last order 22:30), and offers group seating, reservations, wifi, takeout, separate men's/women's restrooms, baby chairs, and parking.

How to get to Suwolgyeonghwa in Songjeong

Suwolgyeonghwa is on the 4th floor of a building near Songjeong Beach. Parking is available on the 1st floor of the building, so it was convenient coming by car too :)

Before going in, one thing caught my eye — a Blue Ribbon Survey selection sticker! Seeing that sticker on the door before even walking in raised my expectations even more haha

The moment I opened the door, what surprised me first was the sea visible through the window. Through the big window, Songjeong Beach comes into full view — it really felt like an ocean view was everywhere!

There's a variety of seating and such a calm atmosphere, it was perfect for relaxing while looking at the sea 🌊🌊

Ordering at the Suwolgyeonghwa kiosk

At Suwolgyeonghwa, you look at the menu board, pick your menu, take a seat, and then order through a kiosk. After thinking it over for a while, we ordered Hyeonwolhojicha + Hojigabae + the Dal Bodeure dessert box!

After ordering, we checked out the space next to the counter and found teabag products on display there too. It seemed like you could enjoy the tea you liked at the café at home too, so browsing was fun :)

Watching the Songjeong beach train from a window seat

After ordering and taking our seats, of course the Songjeong sea outside the window was the first thing that caught my eye. Not only could I see Songjeong Beach in full view, but I could also watch the Songjeong beach train pass right in front 🚃 Every time the train went by I couldn't help but watch it, and between the sea and the train, I completely lost track of time haha. Just sitting there looking out the window felt healing in itself.

After a short wait, our drinks and dessert were ready. They looked so pretty right away that I had to take a bunch of photos first 📸

With the view outside the window on top of it, it was pure healing ✨

We both ordered ours iced!

I tried the hojicha (roasted green tea) first — at first there's a nutty flavor, and then a subtle sweetness of brown sugar comes through afterward. It was a bit different from the tea I usually drink, so it felt quite new and delicious to me. Nutty but not too heavy, with a gentle sweetness added on top — it was perfect for sipping slowly while looking at the sea :) And Hojigabae felt like the signature nutty flavor of hojicha combined with a smooth latte! Nutty and smooth, it went well with the desserts too.

The Dal Bodeure dessert box was something I was looking forward to just as much as the drinks this visit! It had several different kinds inside, so it was fun picking one to try at a time.

What impressed me most was that the dessert lineup wasn't a common combination — it included sulbbang (rice wine cake), injeolmi (rice cake coated in bean powder), ganache monaka, red bean-butter monaka, and gamtae myeongnan (seaweed and pollack roe) financier, all things you don't easily come across at a regular café. From traditional-style desserts to more unusual combinations, it was fun tasting one after another 🤍

The review-event teabag and final verdict on Suwolgyeonghwa

Before leaving, I took part in the review event and got a teabag too :) I visited Suwolgyeonghwa near Songjeong Beach and had a full experience with hojicha, Hojigabae, and the Dal Bodeure dessert box — the ocean view of Songjeong Beach that greets you the moment you walk in was really impressive. Being able to watch the beach train go by too made sitting at the window and watching the sea especially fun 🚃🌊
