On a weekend afternoon with friends, the signature black sesame latte and several of the 8 Gangnam Sand flavors (2,400–2,500 won each) were shared, and the Cream Forest, filled with matcha and cream cheese, was the best of the lot. Weekend in Gangnam with friends! I heard there was a famous bakery spot, so we decided to check it out~
Where is Bakerist Brown, and what are its hours?
Bakerist Brown is open daily from 11:00 to 22:30, about 300m from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6. The weather's been so nice lately that walking to Gangnam Station only took about 10 minutes.
Head up the alley near the Gangnam Station CGV and you'll find a large Gangnam bakery café with an overseas vibe, spanning basement level 1 to the 3rd floor! If you see this exterior, you've found the right Bakerist Brown!

The interior feels like a French-style bakery. Turns out this place is famous as a bakery near Sinnonhyeon Station — my friend had actually been here before!
Bread selection and prices at this Gangnam bakery
The moment we walked into the 1st floor of Bakerist Brown, delicious-looking breads greeted us. Even though it was nearly full on a weekend, they kept restocking the bread right away! With so much bread on display, it was a feast for the eyes and the heart *.* It's especially famous for its salt bread as a Gangnam Station bakery. So many varieties, seriously.

And every single loaf is huge! Drinks run ₩6,000–7,000, and bread ranges from ₩3,000 to ₩6,000.

I really wanted to try everything, but we'd had a huge lunch so we couldn't get through it all — such a shame ㅠㅠ

Besides the bakery items out on the floor, they also had cakes!

From croissants to pastries to salt bread, there wasn't anything missing. Basically, whatever's hot on social media, they have it here.

Turns out this place is also famous on social media for how good the bread looks haha. If you're meeting up near Gangnam or Sinnonhyeon Station, definitely stop by!

How big is Bakerist Brown? Seating and ordering tips
Bakerist Brown also sells goods like branded T-shirts. Little props scattered around really set the mood — I spotted vintage and antique pieces, and it all looked clean and tidy.
The store spans basement level 1 to the 3rd floor, so it's really spacious! The men's restroom is on the 3rd floor, and the women's is on the 2nd floor.

There are group tables seating 6–8 people scattered throughout. A tip: since this place is famous as a Gangnam Station bakery, it's crowded even on regular days, so grab a seat first, then order at the 1st-floor counter! You don't want to order and then have nowhere to sit~
What we ordered: black sesame latte and Gangnam Sand

We ordered the signature black sesame latte, an iced Americano and other drinks, plus Gangnam Sand. There are a whopping 8 flavors of Gangnam Sand!

With several of us there, it was great being able to try a variety!

This Gangnam Sand! All 8 flavors are priced at ₩2,400–2,500 each, so pretty affordable. With so many flavors, you can just pick whatever you're craving.

I was curious about the butter sand cookie flavor, and it wasn't too sweet — just the right amount of richness. The sandwich cream was crisp and full of flavor, and it went perfectly with coffee?
What does the black sesame latte taste like?
I ordered the black sesame latte, and it was really, really good. I'm not usually a fan of grain-based drinks, but trying this black sesame latte at Bakerist Brown completely changed my mind.
The black sesame cream on top is so-so rich. The coffee underneath has great depth of flavor. It's delicious mixed together, or you can eat the cream first and then sip the coffee — either way it's amazing. Haven't had a coffee this memorable in a long time bb

The 8 Gangnam Sand flavors, including Cream Forest
Bakerist Brown's Gangnam Sand comes in this many varieties! It pairs perfectly with coffee, so I highly recommend it.
- Rich Ganache (chocolate + cream)
- London Fog (Earl Grey + white chocolate)
- Cream Forest (matcha + cream cheese)
- Golden Hour (caramel + white chocolate)
- Raspberry Blossom (raspberry + white chocolate)
- Sweet Pumpkin Jack (sweet pumpkin + butter)
- Peanut Butter Wave (peanut + butter)
- Black Grain (black sesame + cream)

My friends said it was so good too, and we polished it all off while chatting away.

For me, the Cream Forest — the matcha and cream cheese flavor sand — was the tastiest >< Highly recommend for families or groups of friends who want to enjoy a variety of desserts together.

This sand also seems perfect as a gift dessert from Gangnam Station!
