Seongsu dessert café CatchTable waitlist and 3 takeout boxes: Notldun
In short
Notldun is a monotone dessert café in an alley off Seoulsup 2-gil in Seongdong, Seoul, a short walk from Seoul Forest. Notldun takes waitlists through CatchTable, caps tables at 1 hour 30 minutes when the café is full, and lets takeout guests walk straight in — which is how a pistachio madeleine, a vanilla caramel mille-feuille and a Forêt Noire ended up in a box to go. For hotel-level cake visuals in Seongsu, Notldun is the answer.

What kind of café is Notldun?
Notldun is a modern, sleek dessert café tucked into an alley at 11 Seoulsup 2-gil, 1st floor, in Seongsu-dong. I made my way through the Seongsu alleys to check out this eye-catching spot!
The moment I walked in, I was struck by the clean, minimal interior. Straight lines and curves work together to create a sculptural space that felt like stepping into a small gallery ✨

CatchTable waitlist and the 1 hour 30 minute limit
Being a hotspot, Notldun runs its waitlist through CatchTable, and when the store is full there's a 90-minute time limit. Takeout guests can walk right in, so keep that in mind!
Inside Notldun

The mood is calm, sophisticated monotone—compact but the space itself feels wide and airy, with no sense of being cramped at all. Between the moody lighting, the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the clean bakery display zone, every corner looked photo-ready.
Drink menu at Notldun

There's a solid range of drinks, so if you're eating in, a coffee alongside your dessert is a must!
Review event: free Valrhona chocolate latte

Notldun is currently running a review event that gives away a Valrhona Guanaja dark chocolate latte! It's a total steal, so don't miss it.
Baked goods and desserts are also available to buy online, so if you're not local, ordering online is a great option too.
Notldun's dessert lineup

The desserts, each with Notldun's own distinctive look, were lined up neatly and were fun to look at even before tasting. The visuals are genuinely insane ✨ Getting to try cakes you'd normally only see at a hotel, right here in Seoul Forest/Seongsu—bread lovers, you have to visit 🍰

The madeleines in the baked-goods line also looked incredibly tempting. As a bread lover, my heart was racing just looking at the display case.
Gift packaging for takeout

Notldun keeps a variety of boxes on hand, so packaging is matched to whatever you buy! The packaging itself is so clean it'd make a great gift.
I bought mine to go, and they packed it carefully in tidy packaging with an ice pack inside ☺️
The box is simplicity itself, which somehow made it look even more upscale.
Pistachio madeleine

Notldun's pistachio madeleine shows off the classic plump, domed madeleine shape, with a soft pale-green pistachio coating and chopped pistachio pieces on top that already look nutty before you take a bite. It's just sweet enough with a moist texture—really delicious.
Vanilla caramel mille-feuille

If you visit Notldun, this is one you absolutely cannot skip—the vanilla caramel mille-feuille! Mille-feuille is genuinely my favorite dessert, so this was a big deal for me.
Unlike the flat, rectangular mille-feuille most people picture, Notldun's version has a three-dimensional, sculptural look that grabs your attention right away. Between the delicately layered, crisp pastry sheets sits rich vanilla cream and caramel fondant, topped with an artful chocolate detail—it honestly looked like a piece of art 🥹
Forêt Noire

This is the Forêt Noire (Black Forest), the French classic dessert whose name means 'black forest' in French. Instead of the usual cream cake topped with chocolate shavings, Notldun reinterprets it with its own sleek glaçage coating and sculptural design, giving it a luxe look from the very first glance.
The first bite brings a deep, heavy, slightly bitter wave of dark chocolate flavor, followed by a burst of bright cherry acidity that beautifully balances out the chocolate's weight 🍒
