Gijang outlet restaurant with sold-out tablet menu on Sunday: Bueokgan

In short

Bueokgan Restaurant is a Western-style restaurant on the 1st floor of Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets in Gijang, Busan. Arriving around 6:50 pm on a Sunday, we ordered carbonara (19,000 won), truffle mushroom cream gnocchi (22,000 won), lemonade (6,500 won) and zero-sugar cola (2,500 won) for a total of 50,000 won. Plenty of items were sold out on the tablet menu, so the choice was limited, but if you like thick cream sauce and truffle aroma, Bueokgan works well for a meal after shopping.

I stopped by Bueokgan while looking for a dinner spot at Gijang's Shinsegae Outlet. It's a Western-style restaurant located inside the outlet mall, making it convenient for a meal after shopping. That day I ordered carbonara and truffle mushroom cream gnocchi. Let me give an honest rundown of the vibe and the menu I tried.

Where is Bueokgan Restaurant in the Gijang outlet mall?

Exterior of Bueokgan Restaurant inside the outlet mall

Bueokgan Restaurant sits on the 1st floor of Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets. Wandering around the outlet, you'll come across the cozy-looking Bueokgan storefront. Its exterior feels a bit different from a typical outlet food court spot — more like a stylish café, which naturally caught my eye. Being inside the outlet made it a convenient stop for a meal after shopping.

Inside Bueokgan on a Sunday evening, plus the waiting area

Waiting area with sofa near Bueokgan's entrance

Near the entrance of Bueokgan there's a waiting area for guests. A soft, wide sofa sits there, great for resting if you're waiting for a table or a friend. We visited around 6:50pm on a Sunday.

Interior with wooden tables and warm lighting

Step inside and you'll find a space combining wooden tables, warm lighting, and cute little decor pieces. Overall, the atmosphere was calm and cozy.

Corner of the restaurant decorated with framed art and plants

Around the restaurant there were tasteful framed pictures, green plant decor, and vintage-feeling furniture. Rather than an over-the-top design, it was the small, thoughtful interior touches that stood out to me.

Table seating with vintage-style furniture

It felt like a comfortable spot for a meal and conversation with a partner or family.

Baby chair prepared in the restaurant

There was also a baby chair set up on one side of the restaurant, so families visiting with young kids could be accommodated too.

Bueokgan menu prices and how tablet ordering works

At Bueokgan you can conveniently order through the tablet set up at each table. There was a wide range of Western dishes available, including pasta, rice dishes, steak, and salads.

  • Basil pesto cream pasta ₩18,500
  • Vongole pasta ₩20,000
  • Shrimp rosé pasta ₩20,000

Looking through the menu, quite a few items were sold out, so the choices were a bit limited. It was a little disappointing that the dish I wanted was out of stock, but I picked something from what was left. A few minutes after ordering, though, I checked the tablet again and noticed that some of the previously sold-out items had become available again. It was a bit of a shame — if I'd ordered just a little later, I could have picked from more options.

What we ordered and the 50,000 won total

Here's what we ordered that day:

  • Carbonara ₩19,000
  • Truffle mushroom cream gnocchi ₩22,000
  • Lemonade ₩6,500
  • Zero-sugar cola ₩2,500
  • Total: ₩50,000
Table setting with carbonara and truffle gnocchi

After a short wait, our order was set on the table one by one. We had ordered carbonara and truffle mushroom cream gnocchi that day, and since both dishes were cream-based, we decided to pair them with drinks.

Carbonara, 19,000 won

A plate of carbonara coated in cream sauce

The cream sauce coated the noodles well, making for an appetizing-looking plate.

Bacon and mushrooms were mixed in too, going well with the noodles. The sauce was mainly a soft, smooth cream flavor — overall a solid, agreeable taste. Twirling the bacon and mushrooms together with the noodles added a nutty, savory note.

Truffle mushroom cream gnocchi, 22,000 won

Truffle mushroom cream gnocchi with thick sauce

As soon as the dish arrived, a subtle truffle aroma spread through the air and the thick, rich cream sauce caught my eye. The sauce had mushrooms mixed in, and the gnocchi came served together with it.

The gnocchi had a chewy yet soft texture. Coated generously with the cream sauce, it delivered both a savory flavor and a distinct truffle aroma together. The sauce itself was quite rich, pairing well with the gnocchi. The cream was so thick that it clung tightly to the gnocchi instead of sliding off.

If you like rich, thick cream and truffle aroma, this was a dish you could enjoy happily.

Lemonade and zero-sugar cola

The lemonade had a refreshing tang that was nice to sip between bites of the cream dishes. The zero-sugar cola was cool and fizzy, giving a clean, refreshing break for the palate.

Is Bueokgan worth it after outlet shopping?

I visited Bueokgan, a Western food spot in Gijang that's great for a meal after shopping at Shinsegae Outlet. The restaurant had a cozy, warm atmosphere, and both the carbonara and truffle mushroom cream gnocchi were solidly enjoyable. If you're looking for a family restaurant inside an outlet mall for a light meal when you're craving pasta or gnocchi, hope this helps :)
