Songdo, Pohang restaurant, Sunday lunch for two at ₩53,000: Plan A

On a date with my husband in Pohang, I wanted to see the ocean and eat something good, so we headed to Songdo. This time we visited Plan A Restaurant, right across from Songdo Beach.

Where is Plan A Restaurant in Songdo, and where do you park?

Plan A Restaurant is on the 4th floor of a building right in front of Songdo Beach in Pohang. Parking is behind the building.

Songdo Beach is right in front of the building, and there's a Starbucks nearby, so it wasn't hard to find at all. We came by car and parked behind the building. Once you park, just take the elevator up and you'll find Plan A Restaurant right away.

Inside Plan A Restaurant: the 4th-floor ocean view over Songdo Beach

The biggest draw of Plan A Restaurant is the ocean view through its big windows. Overall it's clean and comfortable, with a family-restaurant kind of vibe.

I wanted to visit precisely because you can see the ocean while eating at an ocean-view restaurant!

With a Starbucks nearby too, it's a great location to grab coffee after your meal, so it works nicely as part of a Pohang date course.

Walking inside, it feels comfortable, kind of like a family restaurant? It's clean overall with plenty of tables, so it seems good for couples on a date but also fine for family visits. And what I liked most about Plan A was, of course, the ocean view!!

You can see the ocean through the big windows, and eating while looking at the scenery outside definitely feels different from just eating the food. Ocean-view restaurants really are better with a window seat.

If you reserve ahead, you can grab a good spot.

Is there a wait for a window seat at Sunday lunch?

We visited Plan A Restaurant during Sunday lunch and there was no waiting. Still, the place was nearly packed with customers.

Even so, we managed to get a window seat with the ocean view for our meal, and I think reserving ahead is a good idea if you personally want a main window seat facing the sea.

If you're planning a weekend lunch visit and want a window seat, it's worth arriving with some extra time or looking into a reservation.

Chop steak and rosé pasta for two: ₩53,000

For two people at Plan A Restaurant, we paid ₩53,000 total for chop steak, rosé pasta, and a bowl of rice. The rice is an extra ₩2,000.

There were two of us, so we ordered chop steak and rosé pasta. Chop steak + rosé pasta + a bowl of rice, ₩53,000 total. The portions felt just right. My husband loves rice, so he added the ₩2,000 bowl.

Eating good food is nice, but seeing the ocean through the window definitely changed the whole mood of the meal.

The best dish at Plan A Restaurant was the chop steak

Of everything we ate that day, the chop steak was our favorite! We like meat dishes, so instead of just pasta, we ordered chop steak alongside it, and eating the two together worked really well. The chop steak came with sides you can eat with the meat, so it was good to alternate with the pasta too. Personally, of everything we ordered that day, the chop steak was my favorite. If I come back, I'd order the chop steak again.

It's especially good for a date with your partner — you can eat, look at the ocean, and grab coffee at the Starbucks nearby afterward, so it works well as a full date course. We chatted while watching the ocean during our meal, and time flew by faster than expected. Is Plan A Restaurant worth it for a Songdo date?

This time I visited Plan A Restaurant in Pohang with my husband for Sunday lunch. There was no waiting, but the place was packed, and it was nice to relax at a window seat looking out at the ocean. I especially liked the chop steak, and the ocean view and overall atmosphere were satisfying too. After the meal, it's an easy spot to stop by the Starbucks right next door for coffee, so it's a good pick as part of a Pohang Songdo date course.
