Out of nowhere, my husband said he was taking our son on a trip, just the two of them. So what should a suddenly free mom do to make it a trip worth talking about? Since I had a rare stretch of time entirely to myself, I figured I'd go do some healing.
I usually love half-body baths at home. Soaking in warm water with a cup of coffee and a book is real healing for me. Just sitting in the water without thinking about anything melts away more of the day's fatigue than you'd expect.
While looking for a good spot, I found a one-person sauna! A solo sauna sounded so private and appealing. I decided this mom would rest properly, her own way.
Where is My Bless Sauna in Cheonan, and where do you park?
My Bless Sauna is at 192 Buldang25-ro, 2nd floor, Unit 201, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan, Chungnam, and it's open 09:00–22:00. You can make reservations, there's a waiting area, Wi-Fi and easy payment, and it's convenient to park on the ground floors 3–5 of the Golden Plaza 2 building.
There's plenty of parking so you can park anywhere and just head up comfortably ^^

What does My Bless Sauna look like from outside?
Get off the elevator on the 2nd floor and there are all kinds of shops around. Keep going around the corner and My Bless Sauna is at the very end. There's a yellow sign that says SAUNA — even the sign color is healing.

What is the inside of My Bless Sauna like?
I visited with high expectations — a one-person sauna, how good could it be? The moment I opened the door, I was struck by how cleanly the space was kept. Since hygiene and cleanliness matter so much in a sauna, I found myself checking these details closely.
Before entering, you wash your hands thoroughly at the sink. If you came wearing makeup, it looked like there was space to do a simple cleanse too. This kind of thoughtful preparation for guests left a great first impression. It's a small thing, but these little touches add up to a more comfortable, pleasant time.

A one-person sauna room with its own bookshelf
Oh my, they even have books set up! I had only imagined reading a book while warming up in the sauna, and finding an actual bookshelf here made me strangely excited.
I spent a long time deciding what to read. Since I'm not great at meditating, I thought about picking up a meditation book, or maybe a novel to read leisurely after a long time. Even this small dilemma felt like something I hadn't had in ages. When I'm with my kid, I always end up picking whatever book he likes first — but today, just for once, I picked a book entirely for myself.

Sikhye and a grilled egg from the owner
The owner's thoughtfulness didn't stop there. To enjoy while doing the half-body bath and sauna, she prepared chilled water, sweet sikhye (sweet rice punch), and even a grilled egg.
What's a sauna without sikhye and a grilled egg, right? Having every little thing taken care of like this made me feel like I was being properly looked after while resting. Warming my body and enjoying a delicious snack at the same time — I couldn't imagine a more perfect kind of healing.

Oh my, look how well-maintained it is. It's kept impeccably clean.
The sauna room itself was also decorated cozily.
Letting go of all my stray thoughts while in the sauna

A half-body soak in a pre-filled bath, with chilled sikhye
I sink into the pre-filled water.

Sikhye really has to be drunk cold to taste right. I pour it into a cup full of ice and take a chilled sip.
A cup of sweet sikhye after sweating it out in a warm sauna! Warm body, cool mouth — this combination was even better than I expected. For this moment, at least, I forgot about parenting and housework and just enjoyed rest entirely for myself.

I meant to read a book but... ended up watching a drama instead....

Towels, a Dyson hairdryer and skincare provided
Drying my hair with a pretty towel, and having the same Dyson I use at home was such a nice touch.

What was time alone at My Bless Sauna, without my child, like?
Since it had been a while since I spent time alone without my child, I felt a bit awkward at first about what to even do. But once I actually spent this time entirely for myself, I understood why moms need this kind of rest sometimes too.
Warming up in a hot sauna, watching a drama~! Even without a grand trip or special plan, gifting myself this kind of time was healing enough. Thanks to my husband and son heading off on their trip, I got to properly recharge for once too. 🤍 Because even moms need a little time to do absolutely nothing, sometimes.

There's a waiting area too, so if you arrive early, just sitting there waiting feels like healing in itself ^^
