Buldang-dong sauna in Cheonan: passes and 5-person room at My Bless

Before I had my baby, going to the sauna was my go-to way to blow off stress. But once I became a mom, I never had the time or energy for it anymore. I never loved crowded places to begin with, and after COVID I've been even more reluctant to go — and that's when I came across My Bless Sauna.

Where is My Bless Sauna in Cheonan, and what are the hours?

My Bless Sauna is located on the 2nd floor, Unit 201, 192 Buldang25-ro, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan, Chungnam. It's open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, closed every Monday, and you need to book through Naver Reservations before visiting.

It's on the 2nd floor of the Golden Plaza 2 building, right next to the Hanaro Mart in Bulsang-dong. You can use the Golden Plaza 2 parking lot, and it's easiest to find if you go in through the entrance where only one of the two elevators is running.

Whichever elevator you take, just head all the way to the far left when you get off — that makes it pretty easy to find, haha.

Check-in and membership pass prices at My Bless Sauna

As soon as I walked in, I changed into indoor slippers and filled out a usage agreement via QR code. The waiting area felt really cozy.

They also have membership passes (90 minutes each): a 5-session pass for ₩260,000 (valid 2 months) and a 10-session pass for ₩500,000 (valid 4 months). These are weekday-only and can't be used on weekends or holidays.

I spotted sauna-only oils, and below that, towels for sale. Further down there were art supplies for kids to paint with — when I asked the owner, they said these are provided for children visiting with family. Kids would love that.

Later I noticed they even sell cup noodles, though honestly you'd probably be too busy enjoying the sauna to eat, haha. Seems like a great thing to share if you're coming as a couple or family.

First look at the private room and the welcome drink

My Bless Sauna has three rooms total, and I was shown into the first one!! I was so excited from the moment I stepped in.

They went over the precautions before use, and told me to just press the bell by the door if I needed anything during my session.

On the table there was a welcome service set up as part of their opening celebration.

• Iced cup + water
• A pinch of salt
• Sikhye (sweet rice punch)
• A boiled egg

They'd also written down my checkout time so there was no confusion. After sweating a lot in the sauna, you've got to have that pinch of salt~

They gave me a cap to protect my scalp from the heat while in the sauna. Gotta protect this precious scalp~ Looking back at the photo though, I look a little... rough, haha haha.

What to bring: only underwear, plus the in-room amenities

There were two towels and a Dyson hair dryer, plus body lotion, face lotion, cotton swabs, hair ties, a comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, disposable foam towels — basically everything you'd need for a sauna visit was ready. No need to bring anything except your underwear~

They told me I could choose either a robe or sauna suit to wear inside — the sauna suit seemed like more of a hassle, so I went with the robe!

90 minutes in the Finnish-style dry sauna

Opening the inner door leads to a connected space with the sauna, shower, sink, and bathtub. The sauna itself is built in the Nordic Finnish style.

If you add oil, you can pour diluted oil-water for an aroma experience — I skipped that and just poured a cup of plain water. It looked really hot, so I decided to be careful.

I flipped the hourglass hanging on the wall and started my sauna session~

I grabbed one of the waterproof books available inside that looked fun, haha. But it kept getting too hot to focus, ugh. Something about jump rope, something about Pokémon... I don't really remember, haha.

A bath filled in advance, plus the shower room

After the sauna, I got into the bathtub and soaked. When booking through Naver, you can request to have the water pre-filled, and I asked for warm water — the temperature was exactly right for getting in. If you're worried about the temperature, you can check it before your sauna session, start running the water, and it'll be perfect by the time you're done.

Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were in the shower (the body wash smells great), and at the sink there was hand wash and cleanser — oh, Kiehl's, nice.

A look at the 5-person room for a visit with the kids

Since I wanted to come back with my kids next time, I asked if the 5-person room was available and took a look inside. They told me that for groups of 5, the sauna opens up in the middle to become more spacious.

Why 90 minutes at My Bless Sauna felt short

Even though I'd had sikhye, of course a sauna trip has to end with banana milk, haha. I couldn't resist and ordered one on my way out.

I already love saunas, but doing it privately, all by myself, was just amazing. 90 minutes felt way too short. Having a space entirely to myself felt like a gift for a mom worn out from childcare, which made it even happier — and honestly I don't know how many times I said this to myself the whole way home, haha.

It's a great space whether you need some solo healing time, want a unique date spot as a couple, or are looking for a fun time with your kids — definitely worth a visit. Would I go back? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
