This is a review of Saechamcoffee, which I visited when I wanted a light brunch near Anyang Station. It's not far from the station so it's pretty accessible, and since you can enjoy coffee along with a simple meal, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a brunch café.

The window seats at Saechamcoffee had a really nice vibe, letting you look outside while leisurely enjoying coffee and brunch. Sitting by the window with soft sunlight coming in made the café atmosphere feel even cozier. It's a great spot to spend time relaxing alone, and equally good for sitting with a friend and chatting away.

Overall the café atmosphere feels cozy and comfortable, so there's no pressure about staying a long time. I visited on a weekend afternoon and it was still packed with customers, which really showed it's a popular café near Anyang Station.

Still, rather than feeling noisy and busy, it had a warm, comfortable atmosphere — good for enjoying brunch with a friend or having a relaxed cup of coffee.

If you like spicy flavors, I strongly recommend the spicy chicken sandwich. It's filling without being too heavy, making it a perfect brunch meal.

There's a discount going on when you buy the sandwich together with an americano, so it was a budget-friendly combo. A filling sandwich plus a clean americano — a perfect brunch pairing.

Beyond the sandwiches, there was also a good variety of levain cookies, so dessert was covered too. After some deliberation, I ordered a matcha levain cookie and a nunetine scone as dessert.

What impressed me most was that it's a café that listens to customer feedback. You could sense that they carefully take in customers' opinions and try to build better menus and service, which made it even more appealing. It left an impression as a place that goes beyond just selling coffee and desserts, feeling like a café that's built together with the voices of the customers who visit.

The restroom is located inside the shop, so I could use it comfortably while enjoying the café. Being able to use it right inside without having to go outside was also a plus.

There's also a water dispenser set up in one corner of the shop, so I could get water easily, and there were even cushions prepared for customers visiting with pets — a really thoughtful touch.

After ordering and waiting a bit, the freshly baked scone and coffee arrived first.

The warm scone, seemingly fresh out of the oven, had a savory aroma rising off it, and paired with the cool iced americano, it really felt like proper brunch.

How does the squid ink bread spicy chicken sandwich taste?

The spicy chicken sandwich, made with squid ink bread, was especially satisfying. The bread had that crisp-outside, soft-inside texture, and the more I chewed, the more savory it tasted.

The sandwich came with pickles on the side, which were great to eat a bit at a time in between bites. The tangy, crunchy pickles paired well with the spicy, mild sandwich, cleansing the palate. The subtle, mellow flavor of the squid ink bread also went well with the spicy chicken, so the overall balance of flavors was good. It wasn't overpowering — mild overall with the chicken's spiciness as the highlight — so I could enjoy it all the way through without getting tired of it.
