A few days ago we went for a run in Songdo, Pohang. Songdo has fewer people than Yeongildae, but the ocean view is just as good all around, so if you prefer quieter spots, it's perfect for a date. Just like us ><
Where Plan A Restaurant is in Songdo, Pohang, and where to park
Today we visited Plan A Restaurant, located in Songdo, Pohang. It's right next to the Songdo Starbucks, so it's perfect for grabbing coffee after lunch.
There's a spacious parking lot right behind the building too, so no need to worry about parking.
The building has an elevator, so getting up to the 4th floor is no trouble at all :)

The moment you step inside Plan A Restaurant, the ocean view unfolds in front of you. Ta-da~
I don't think there's a single person who'd dislike an ocean view!
Just sit at whichever seat you like and order through the kiosk.
There's a baby chair too, so it's great for guests with little ones~

The menu had pictures, which made ordering easy. It's divided into steaks / pastas / pilafs / risottos / salads / sides! If you book through Naver Reservation, you can choose 1 side dish, so I'd recommend reserving before you visit :)

What comes with every table
True to a pasta restaurant, the basic setting came with red pickles. They also gave us water, and it was genuinely tasty water. This Songdo, Pohang spot pays attention even to the water!
Three dishes: burrata salad, truffle aglio olio, beef cream spaghetti
We ordered three dishes: burrata salad, truffle oil pasta, and beef cream spaghetti.
The salad came out first, and there was one whole large burrata ball sitting on top. With a portion like that, you don't feel like your money was wasted at all!
I tore the burrata cheese apart — look how plump and delicious it looks?
The ciabatta that came with it could be added for ₩2,000, and we tore it apart and stuffed it with the salad like a sandwich.
Why the truffle aglio olio was the top pick
Next came the truffle oil pasta — this was my personal favorite! It had a fragrant truffle aroma, and it seemed like actual truffle mushrooms were mixed in too.
It also had 4 big whole garlic cloves and 3 slices of tomato, making it incredibly rich and delicious.
Beef cream spaghetti: a proper cream pasta
Next was the beef cream pasta. It's often called ragù pasta, but this one was completely a cream pasta, so if you love rich, thick cream pastas, this comes highly recommended! The cheese powder on top made it even more velvety.
The rich cream pasta with fluffy beef piled on top hits you with real weight and satisfaction.
Is Plan A Restaurant worth it for a birthday dinner?
Looking at the beautifully set-out food, I felt so happy — we came for my husband's birthday and it turned out every dish was one he loves~!
A fun date with a gorgeous ocean view — I really recommend spending your birthday celebration time at a place like this haha
When eating the spaghetti, you twirl it around with a fork and spoon like this — it feels different when it's this rich, doesn't it?
There was this much pasta, and now it's gone? It was so delicious we scraped every last bit clean haha. That's just how good it was.
