Cherry bingsu and egg tart café in Dalseo, Daegu: Otter Rabbit House

Coffee time is a must after lunch with friends ☕️ Since I was nearby, I decided to finally check out Otter Rabbit House, a brunch café near Woelgwang Waterside Park that I'd had my eye on for a while.

Otter Rabbit House is located at 63 Miriesaem-gil, Dalseo-gu, Daegu, near Woelgwang Waterside Park. Hours are 11:00 - 20:00, last order at 19:30, and it's closed every Monday.

European-style brick exterior and roomy interior

I was already in love with the European vibe of the exterior 💓 The brick building with wood-tone doors and windows, plus the greenery out front, made Otter Rabbit House feel like a little café abroad 🌳

The interior was bigger than expected. Same brick and wood tones as outside, classic and vintage-feeling — totally my style!! The tables were spaced generously too, which made it really nice for a leisurely chat.

What's on the menu and what we ordered

The menu had coffee, tea, ade, brunch dishes, and a good variety of bakery items too. While I was busy choosing, the photo of cherry bingsu stuck above the menu board completely stole the show 👀 And since I knew I'd want coffee afterward anyway, I ordered three things: iced americano, iced latte, and cherry bingsu :)

What does the cherry bingsu at Otter Rabbit House taste like?

Otter Rabbit House's cherry bingsu is milk snow ice topped with house-made cherry compote, mascarpone milk cream, crushed pistachios, and plenty of plump cherries. If you like cherries, this is a no-brainer order.

Cherries piled high over the milk snow ice!! 🍒 The house-made cherry compote is sweet and tangy, topped with soft mascarpone milk cream and crushed pistachios, and packed with fully ripe, plump cherries! The snow ice alone is already delicious, but eating it with the cherries made me forget I was full and just kept eating haha. Seriously, if you like cherries, this bingsu is a must 😋

Iced americano and iced latte

Of course, after something sweet you crave coffee haha. The cups were so cute too. The americano used beans with that nutty flavor I love, so easy to drink. Otter Rabbit House is a coffee spot too,,, is there anything they don't do well 🤭

Two bakery picks: chocolate pistachio croissant and sweet corn egg tart

On my way out I couldn't resist grabbing some bakery items, and they were so good too 😲 Chocolate pistachio croissant 🍫🥐 Sweet corn egg tart 🌽

First, the chocolate pistachio croissant. 🍫🥐 It's generously coated in chocolate with pistachio powder dusted on top, an obviously sweet-bread lover's dream! Goes great paired with americano.

Sweet corn egg tart 🌽 A sweet egg tart with the nutty flavor of corn to enjoy alongside! Good for when you're craving something sweet haha. As always, these pastries taste best with coffee ☕️

Is Otter Rabbit House worth a visit?

I dropped by for a post-lunch coffee and ended up thoroughly enjoying cherry bingsu plus bread 🍒 The exterior is pretty and the interior is spacious, so it was comfortable to hang out longer than I expected. Otter Rabbit House is a good pick when you're looking for a brunch café near Woelgwang Waterside Park and want coffee and dessert together! Next time I'll have to come back and tackle the brunch menu :)
