What kind of massage shop is The Hanoi Foot & Body Songpa Garak Branch?
The Hanoi Foot & Body Songpa Garak Branch is an aroma massage shop located in Unit 217, 2nd floor, Building 101, Seongwon Santeville, near Garak Market Station. It's open daily from 10:00 to 23:00, and until 24:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, with an aromatherapy discount for first-time visitors.
I went to relieve some overtime fatigue since it's near my office, and honestly — it was the massage of my life, haha. Total satisfaction 🥹 To all the office workers in Munjeong !!! This is the place…

Inside The Hanoi Foot & Body: atmosphere and massage rooms
Right as you walk in, there's a neat sofa set up for foot baths. True to the brand name, the rattan lighting gave off a Hanoi-style vibe — really pretty! I booked through Naver and was greeted by a friendly director.

As you'd expect from a skincare-and-massage shop, all kinds of products were neatly displayed.

There were multiple massage rooms! A mix of private single rooms and shared rooms, private enough that you could relax in a quiet atmosphere. Everything felt clean and tidy, which gave a great first impression!

Why the powder room is worth knowing about
Your hair tends to get messed up after a massage, so having a powder room with a comb and hair dryer meant I could tidy up my hair or touch up my makeup afterward! I definitely made good use of it after my massage — combing my hair and fixing my makeup, haha.

The single massage room on a morning half-day off
This is the private room where I got my massage! The lighting was softly dim and they were careful about the air conditioning temperature, so it felt so comfortable. Even though I visited in the morning after taking a half-day off, there were blackout curtains, so the dim, cozy atmosphere almost made me want to fall asleep.

And apparently the owner knows Son Heung-min, because there was a signed autograph on the wall! That gave the place an extra layer of trust, haha — a massage shop endorsed by the best soccer player?!

How the session starts: foot bath and decaf tea
At The Hanoi Foot & Body Songpa Garak Branch, before the main massage, you change into massage clothes and then soak your feet in prepared water for a foot bath! Since you'll be undressing your top during the massage, this is when you take off your bra and put on the massage clothes.

While soaking my feet in warm water, the therapist came over and washed my feet with bath salts — the warmth melted away the tension in my feet, which was such a great start, haha.

And during the foot bath they served decaf tea! Mine was a warm apple-scented tea, not too sweet and caffeine-free, which I loved. They also gave a little card explaining the tea — such a thoughtful detail!

Aroma Basic Care, 60 minutes with lavender oil
I chose the Aroma Basic Care 60-minute course, and they gave me oil samples to smell before choosing. Here's how they explained each oil's function.
- Eucalyptus = relieves muscle pain, improves respiratory circulation, boosts concentration
- Lavender = deep sleep and relaxation, helps with insomnia
- Bergamot = calms the mind, helps with cellulite
And more functions like that, apparently. Honestly my muscle pain was pretty urgent, but the lavender smelled so good when I tried it that I went with lavender!

How strong was the pressure at The Hanoi Foot & Body?
The Hanoi Foot & Body is a well-known chain, but the reviews specifically for this branch were full of praise — lots of people saying they only wanted to come here even if it was far, so I was curious. And honestly, totally convinced… this really was the massage of my life ㅠ A young female therapist took care of me, and I have no idea how someone with such a small frame produced that kind of pressure — she worked out the knots like a human gwasha tool, so incredibly satisfying, and her voice was so ASMR-like that I got all melty. Kind and skilled — total satisfaction ,, ♡
Partway through, she gave me complimentary hot stones, which was pure bliss. I've had pricier massages before, but my satisfaction here was the best by far!

Price with the first-visit discount, and who it suits
After it was all over I felt like I'd woken up from a dream (?) — because it was that good.. 🤍 They give a 30% discount for first-time visitors, so for all the office workers pulling overtime in Munjeong •• getting an hour of 'financial therapy' for ₩60,000–70,000 makes this Songpa massage shop, The Hanoi Foot & Body Songpa Garak Branch, one I'd really recommend. I'm definitely planning to go back!
