Hi everyone, it's Sina! I'd been craving pork cutlet for the first weekend in a while, so I headed to a well-known spot in Buldang-dong — Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang. The cheese katsu here turned out to be seriously good?! If you're looking for a great cheese katsu, I recommend giving this place a try — let's get into today's post.

Where is Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang, and what is it like inside?

Jinsim Wang Donkatsu, a well-known pork cutlet spot in Cheonan, sits in Sinbuldang. Maybe because I came at lunchtime, the place was packed — busy enough that a wait line formed while I was eating, which tells you how popular this Buldang-dong katsu place is. I'd guess there's hardly a resident of Buldang-dong who doesn't already know it. In particular, a lot of parents come here with their kids.

Are there high chairs and parking at Jinsim Wang Donkatsu?

Baby chairs are available too. The dining room is fairly spacious, but there were so many customers that I'll keep the photos to just these, haha. Parking is available in the building — Buldang-dong roads tend to be pretty congested, but the building's parking area is roomy, so parking was easy. When you're done eating, just ask the owner to register your parking on your way out.

What we ordered: cheese katsu and fish cutlet

The signature dish here has to be the pork cutlet. I ordered the cheese-loaded cheese katsu and the fish cutlet — my partner, who I hadn't been out with in a while, said he wanted fish cutlet, lol. Little did I know just how massive that fish cutlet would turn out to be.

What's on the self-serve bar?

At the self-serve bar you can help yourself to free soup and jang-guk (Korean-style clear soup). There's also kids' tableware sized just right for little ones, plus lettuce and ssamjang for wraps. A pork cutlet place with lettuce wraps and ssamjang — sounds odd, right?! But at Jinsim Wang Donkatsu, wrapping your katsu in lettuce is actually a real treat, haha. The lettuce is also really fresh, which is a plus.

If you're short on tableware or side dishes, just use the self-serve bar.

I tried the soup before the meal, and sure enough, it was delicious. Heh heh.

The weather was really nice that day, and since this Buldang-dong katsu spot sits right on a main road, it's super easy to find.

Can you get the sauce on the side for dipping?

Finally, our order arrived. One thing I really liked about Jinsim Wang Donkatsu is that you can request the sauce on the side. I'm not a pour-it-over person but a dip-it-in person, so I asked for the sauce separately. The katsu looked incredibly crispy.

How big is the fish cutlet?

Everyone, this is the fish cutlet. It's not like the usual fish cutlets you see, right? For one, it's huge, and it looked incredibly appetizing. If you love fish cutlet, you really need to come here!!!!

A perfectly fried fish cutlet, dipped deep into tartar sauce — how good does that sound??!!! It wasn't greasy at all, and thanks to the tartar sauce it just kept going down easily. Fish cutlet after a long time — as expected, it was so good~~~~

Next up, the cheese katsu I ordered. That day I really wanted cheese katsu, and I went back and forth between sweet potato cheese katsu and plain cheese katsu before finally picking cheese katsu!!

Wow, look at that cheese overflowing. That's real cheese, TT. There is genuinely a huge amount of cheese packed in. Anyone who loves cheese katsu, go here, lol.

I normally handle rich, heavy food pretty well, and while a lot of people find cheese katsu greasy, I ate it without feeling even 1% heavy. Crispy outside, juicy meat inside, and the cheese was nutty and chewy all at once — so good, haha.
