If you want to enjoy fall flowers and brunch in Gyeongju at the same time, listen up. Today I visited Yard, a brunch café near Gyeongju World. The cosmos in full bloom out front made the view absolutely gorgeous — this is the Gyeongju brunch café to hit right now.
Yard's 1,000-pyeong cosmos field: peak bloom in mid-September
Yard means 'field' in English, and true to its name, a 1,000-pyeong flower field stretches out in front of the café.

The yellow cosmos, which started blooming in August, were in full bloom as of mid-September.

The flowers were really well maintained, so they looked beautiful.

Gyeongju World is visible in the background, and the combination is stunning. This is the perfect Gyeongju brunch café for this season.
How the umbrella rental photo zone at Yard works
Yard is really great for taking photos.

They rent out colorful umbrellas too, so shots with the cosmos as a backdrop look like a magazine spread.

It was recognized in 2022 as one of the top 100 view cafés.

Lots of families come here too, and it's great for enjoying the flowers, so it's a Gyeongju brunch café that satisfies both kids and adults.
Kids on the first floor, no-kids bean bag seats on the second
Yard has a 1st and 2nd floor.

The 1st floor allows kids, but the 2nd floor is a no-kids-zone,

so keep that in mind. Still, the café is so big that there's plenty of seating.

On the 2nd floor, there's also a space with bean bags where you can lie down and relax comfortably.

With so many different table types, you can pick what suits your purpose — a relaxed Gyeongju brunch café.
Guacamole open rye baguette at Yard, 16,000 won
I tried the guacamole open rye baguette at Yard.

Since it was rye bread, it was light yet delicious.

I love avocado, and the guacamole was piled on generously, so I was very satisfied.

The shrimp was plentiful too, and the soft-boiled fried egg was really delicious. It paired perfectly with the basil sauce served alongside — I'd call this a Gyeongju brunch café worth recommending as a brunch spot.
Fresh ingredients and a nutty iced americano, 5,500 won
The freshness of the ingredients was also nice. The tomatoes were fresh, and the arugula on top was a nice touch.
One brunch dish was packed with vegetables, shrimp, and fried egg, so it was filling as a full meal.

The iced americano was really tasty too — the nutty bean blend paired well with brunch, making it taste even better.

A Gyeongju brunch café with a great balance of food and coffee.
Cakes and bread at Yard: plenty of choice, but they sell out
There's more to enjoy at Yard besides brunch. They have lots of cakes and a variety of breads.

But when I visited, all the bread was sold out.

That probably shows how popular it is. If you're heading over for bread or cake, I'd recommend going a bit earlier.

With desserts too, it's a Gyeongju brunch café that's good for lingering a while.

Parking and bus access to Yard near Gyeongju World
Yard is easy to get to as well.

The parking lot is spacious and roadside parking is possible, so it's convenient by car. There's also a bus stop in front of Seorabeol Elementary School, so travelers without a car can visit too.
Since it's on the main road in front of Gyeongju World, it fits well into a travel route. It's also nice for enjoying quietly on your own, making it a solid Gyeongju brunch café for a solo café visit too.
Is Yard worth it for a fall date or day out in Gyeongju?

Yard in Gyeongju is a brunch café embraced by a 1,000-pyeong cosmos field in front of Gyeongju World. The guacamole open sandwich is worth recognizing as a brunch spot,

and with nutty coffee, bean bag seating, and umbrella rentals, there's plenty to enjoy.

With ample parking and walkability, it's a great place to visit in Gyeongju, and thanks to the flower field views, it's also a top Gyeongju date course.

The cosmos are at their peak right now, so I highly recommend stopping by this Gyeongju brunch café, Yard.
