Jangyu kalguksu restaurant with its own parking lot: Seosan Dongjuk

Hi neighbors, this is Day. On a day when I was craving something warm and soupy in Jangyu, I went to Seosan Dongjuk Kalguksu with my parents. With kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup), the broth matters, but so does how generous the ingredients are alongside the noodles. This time we ordered three servings of clam kalguksu, and there were more clams in it than I expected — I came home satisfied.

Where is Seosan Dongjuk Kalguksu, and how is the parking?

Seosan Dongjuk Kalguksu is at 19 Deokjeong-ro201beon-gil, 1st floor, Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, and it's open daily from 10:00 to 21:00. There's dedicated parking, so it's easy to get to by car.

A lot of people drive in from around Jangyu, and having a parking space set aside made things convenient. It was nice not having to worry about parking before even sitting down to eat.

The restaurant wasn't hard to spot from the road, and being on the first floor made it easy to walk in. The sign stood out, so even on a first visit it was easy to find.

More than anything, I liked that there was parking space. When eating out as a family, the food matters, but easy parking makes the whole visit that much smoother.

Inside Seosan Dongjuk Kalguksu and its self-serve kimchi bar

Inside, Seosan Dongjuk Kalguksu was clean and comfortable. On one side there's a self-serve bar where you can help yourself to kimchi.

It's a relaxed atmosphere for eating as a family, so we could sit comfortably and enjoy the meal.

And on one side there was the self-serve bar. Kimchi that goes well with kalguksu was set out, and we could take as much as we wanted — as someone who loves kimchi, having a self-serve bar like this was pretty convenient.

Three servings of clam kalguksu: how many clams are in the bowl?

What we ordered that day was Seosan Dongjuk Kalguksu's clam kalguksu, three servings. It came out generously in a pot, packed with clams — quite different from a kalguksu that's just noodles.

The kalguksu arrived heaped in the pot, and the first thing that caught my eye was, of course, the clams. True to its name, the clam kalguksu had quite a lot of clams in it — a different feel from noodle-only kalguksu.

The broth had that refreshing taste drawn out from the clams, which made it great to eat warm. Scooping up noodles and clams together made for a hearty yet clean-tasting meal.

There were more clams than I expected, so there was even the fun of picking through them one by one. We ordered three servings, and the portion was generous enough for the family to share comfortably.

While eating the kalguksu, I paired it with kimchi too — warm broth and noodles really do need kimchi alongside. Being able to easily grab more from the self-serve bar meant we never ran short.

Is Seosan Dongjuk Kalguksu a good family meal out in Jangyu?

If you're looking for a kalguksu restaurant in Jangyu and like your kalguksu loaded with clams, Seosan Dongjuk Kalguksu seems like a solid choice.

What I liked most about Seosan Dongjuk Kalguksu was the easy parking, the self-serve bar, and getting to eat kalguksu with plenty of clams in it. I heard the seafood pancake is good too — I definitely want to try it next time.
