Pocheon pasta restaurant after Hantan River Garden Festa: Eoneu Dal

We spent the weekend at the Hantan River Garden Festa in Pocheon with family. We were having so much fun looking around that before we knew it, closing time had arrived.

On the way home we went looking for somewhere to eat and ended up here. The space was clean and every dish was satisfying, so let me introduce it right away. ><

Eoneu Dal in Pocheon: hours, parking and baby chairs

Eoneu Dal is a Western-style restaurant on Jeongmun-dong-gil in Pocheon. It's open from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM and closed every Monday. There's a baby chair available, free corkage is allowed, and there's a dedicated parking lot with free parking.

This is a spot that's hard to reach without a car, so parking really matters. The lot turned out to be fairly spacious, so parking wasn't an issue at all.

This was our first visit here, and after parking and walking in, the place turned out to be bigger than expected. The exterior was clean and spacious too, so the first impression was already good.

How long is the wait at Eoneu Dal without a reservation?

We visited without a reservation, so when we told them our party size, they asked us to wait. Since we had a lot of people, we waited about 5 minutes before being seated.

While waiting, I looked around — high ceilings and a clean white-toned interior. It was just the right level of upscale, not intimidating but not plain either, a really comfortable atmosphere.

At the counter up front, a "Taste and Style Restaurant" certificate caught my eye. Apparently it means Eoneu Dal was selected as one of Pocheon's designated outstanding restaurants representing the region. Knowing it was officially recognized made me even more excited.

Right next to it was the country-of-origin display, where you could transparently check everything from US beef to domestic Korean rice.

Besides the main hall, there were group tables and tables for two set up in a variety of ways, and we could use the baby chair without any worry.

The restroom is on the right as you walk in, and it was kept clean and easy to use.

The space is white and the value for money is good, so a lot of people come here for family dinners, dates, and anniversaries.

Eoneu Dal menu and prices: QR ordering, 18,000–23,000 won

Eoneu Dal uses table QR codes for ordering, and prices run about ₩18,000 to ₩23,000. Once you're seated, they set out plates, water, and pickles, and one person scans the QR code to order for the table.

Scan the QR code and this is the screen you get. The menu of the month was apparently shrimp and blue crab, so we included the shrimp pilaf along with mushroom pilaf, white ragu gnocchi, and mushroom cream pasta. The good thing about a family dinner is that you can order a bunch of dishes and share, so we got to taste all four. ^^

Prices ran ₩18,000 to ₩23,000, which felt reasonable given the taste and portion sizes. If you run low on bread or pickles while eating, you can order more through the QR menu.

Mushroom cream pasta at Eoneu Dal

The first dish: cream pasta piled high with mushrooms. The pasta looked generous, and there were well-grilled king oyster mushrooms on top. The cream sauce was thick but not overly rich. It was delicious spooned up like a soup, and I'd also recommend dipping the bread in it.

Cream dishes can get sickening the more you eat them, right? This one stayed delicious all the way through. It got a pretty good reaction from the family too...!

White ragu gnocchi at Eoneu Dal

Apparently this is made by sautéing minced beef, celery, and various vegetables, then simmering it in white wine. Gnocchi is made from potato, so it's a dish I personally love — my pick! The soft potato texture and the rich cheese flavor really came through.

We ate it together with the bread that came alongside — and it was even better that way. Dipping the warm, crispy bread into the ragu sauce, the two went really well together.

Mushroom pilaf at Eoneu Dal

Same rice base as the shrimp pilaf. The mushrooms were grilled, which made them tastier and gave a meaty feel. It's a pasta place, but I'd recommend the fried rice too!

It felt like it was stir-fried nicely with oyster sauce. There was an option to check for "not spicy," so I tried it, and it was even softer and tastier that way.

The last dish: a shrimp fried rice base topped with well-grilled shrimp. The smoky char of the shrimp and the savory depth of the pilaf really stood out. It wasn't salty at all, so it was clean-tasting and disappeared in no time.

Why Eoneu Dal works for a family dinner in Pocheon

Everything was so delicious that every plate got wiped clean, no secret there ><. But what I liked best of all was the atmosphere. The space wasn't crowded or noisy, so it was easy to chat comfortably over the meal. The staff were kind too, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and well cared for.

After the Hantan River Garden Festa, we stumbled into Pocheon's "Eoneu Dal" by chance. Between the clean atmosphere, spacious parking, and satisfying food, it left nothing to be desired as a dinner spot.
