Full-body fascia gua sha remodeling, 2.5 hours at Rebody & Beauty

In short

Rebody & Beauty is a 1:1 appointment-only body and fascia care studio on Ujeon 2-gil in Wansan-gu, Jeonju. A physical therapist with 27 years of experience used a method she developed herself, minimizing oil and using a dedicated gua sha tool to work tangled fascia from neck and traps down to the toes over 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the pain matched a real drop in swelling and a lighter body afterward. This premium treatment suits people who want the root cause of asymmetry and chronic pain addressed, not just a few minutes of relief.

I've always had a stiff neck fairly often, and I'm also super interested in shoulder height and facial asymmetry ..! Whenever I got a sore spot worked on, the relief only lasted a moment, and the root problem never seemed to actually improve.

So I went to Rebody & Beauty, well known in Jeonju for wedding-prep body care, for a treatment that deeply addresses fascia — the root cause of pain and body imbalance. Here's my full-body remodeling premium care review!

Rebody & Beauty, known for Jeonju wedding-prep care, runs 1:1 custom sessions based on a method a physical therapist with 27 years of experience researched and developed herself! To keep the focus tight, she only takes 2–3 people a day, so booking ahead is really a must.

Skeleton models and a consultation questionnaire beside the counseling table

Next to the counseling table was clear evidence of everything she's studied over the years..! A full skeleton model, plus bone, foot, and spine models, all lined up. Seeing that, I thought, ah, this is someone who's genuinely studied the body properly.

She also made sure to bring a warm cup of tea before and after the treatment :)

Once the consultation properly begins, you start by filling out this questionnaire. It's not just a formality — she carefully analyzed me based on what I wrote. The categories were really detailed, from care type to pain areas, facial spots I'm self-conscious about, to a body asymmetry check. I marked a lot around my neck, shoulders, and the asymmetry spots that usually bother me. Just from the questionnaire, I could tell this wasn't a place that just presses around and gets started!

What is fascia care? The therapist's explanation

Our body should move this well, but when it's tangled, it moves as one solid block instead. So when the fascia between these layers gets torn apart, bruising can come up.

Normally the skin on your body should be smooth, but if the body is twisted, the skin ends up twisted too. But if you just keep loosening it without fixing that, it's meaningless — you have to align the grain of the skin.

So this is care that corrects the twisted grain, and since everyone's twisted differently, the pain is different for everyone too.

The Rebody & Beauty therapist explained in detail exactly what I'd be receiving over the next 2 hours and 30 minutes :)

In short, muscles live inside a 'house' called fascia, and you have to straighten out that twisted fascial house before the muscle itself can actually release. When the body is twisted, the skin's grain twists with it — and if you just slather on oil and rub casually, only the skin slides around without the grain ever getting corrected. So she avoids oil as much as possible, presses skin and deep fascia firmly together, and untangles the knotted grain one strand at a time, like combing it out.

Price guide split into basic and premium care

Prices and treatment time

The price list on-site is split into basic care and premium care, but Naver Place has a more accurate and detailed menu, so I'd recommend checking that! Since everything here is done 1:1, area by area, in detail, the price runs higher, but the focus is intense and sessions take a long 2–3 hours. Truly premium care ..! Given how much time and effort goes in, the results really do seem to show a clear difference :)

Guide to the premium full-body remodeling treatment

Getting ready — disposable clothes and foot photos

This is the changing area! Since the treatment isn't just hand or pressure work but uses a dedicated gua sha tool to work the full-body fascia from head to toe, you change into the disposable clothing they provide first.

Hair ties, hairpins, and all the disposables were laid out on a small card, so there was no confusion at all

Before the treatment starts, they take a photo of your feet first. Feet apparently show your body's axis and imbalance most clearly, so they photograph them on this pad before and after the treatment ;) She said the before-and-after change in these foot photos would be properly visible once the facial care was done too, which had me looking forward to it.

The bed I'd be lying on for the treatment. A moment that felt a little nerve-wracking but exciting, right before the two and a half hours to come ..!

The treatment room bed where the two-and-a-half-hour session took place

One thoughtful detail I noticed while looking around that genuinely touched me ;) When you're undressed for 2–3 hours of treatment, needing a bathroom break midway is really a hassle — but here the bathroom is right next to the treatment room, so that inconvenience simply didn't exist. It felt good knowing she'd thought of even this.

What the gua sha full-body treatment actually felt like

Finally, the treatment began! It started with the upper body first. She worked through my neck, traps, and even each fingertip one by one with the gua sha tool. It was a completely different style from a regular treatment where they just lay down a towel and press. With the gua sha, it felt like she was pulling apart tangled fascia, sorting it out along the grain. But she wasn't just rubbing randomly — she'd feel the skin and fascia condition with her hand first, pinpoint the spot that needed it, and focus intensively there.

One thing she explained during the treatment that stuck with me: when fascia is tangled, movement doesn't happen separately part by part — it moves as one clumped block. So in the process of loosening those tangled layers, bruising can come up, and especially in spots with heavily clumped fascia, like the arms, legs, or outer thighs, the bruising can linger a while.

Does it hurt a lot?

How it actually felt during the treatment ,, ! Honestly, I'm someone who handles pain really well, and even I found it quite painful. It was a completely different kind of sensation from any treatment I've had before. "Tearing the fascia apart along the grain with gua sha" is exactly the right way to describe it.

She told me it hurts the same way combing out tangled hair hurts — the pain matches how tangled it is. Hearing that made sense to me, and it made me think a treatment that only felt relieving would've actually been strange.

Definitely, the areas that were usually bad or more clumped hurt more. Which probably means those spots had been twisted for a long time , , ha.ha

How my body changed afterward

Once the treatment was fully done and I sat up, the first thing I noticed was how noticeably lighter my body felt..! There was a clear sense of blood circulating and the swelling gone, and the muscle grain felt smooth, like tangled hair that had all been combed out.

Rather than just pressing the sore spots, they find the areas that are fundamentally twisted and release them, so it ends up shaping your jawline and contours too — a treatment where you can address both pain and appearance at once, at Rebody & Beauty in Jeonju. I understood exactly why it's called premium care by the time the session was over :)

For anyone who wants the root cause addressed instead of just a brief moment of relief, and for anyone who's long been troubled by asymmetry or chronic pain, I'd recommend Rebody & Beauty for fascia care and wedding-prep care in Jeonju. Next time I'll try the facial care too, and I'll be back with that review!
