Baekhyeon-dong brunch café with parking, baby seats: Meolmeol Pangyo

Wondering where to take the baby this weekend, I ended up at murmur brunch bar in the Baekhyeon-dong café street.

Baekhyeon-dong is a neighborhood I quietly end up visiting a lot when I want brunch in Pangyo. This time, Meolmeol turned out to be a Baekhyeon-dong brunch café I liked a lot — pretty atmosphere, unusual food, and it had been a while since I felt that way about a place here. What really sealed it was that they had everything from a baby chair to baby tableware ready, plus a terrace right out front facing the trees, so it was great for brunch with a baby :)

An exterior you can't miss, with blue stripes

Walking deeper into the Baekhyeon-dong café street, there's a spot where the blue-and-white striped awning catches your eye right away. That's murmur BRUNCH BAR.

With its big glass windows, you can see clearly inside from the street, and overall it feels casual and fresh, like a small European brunch spot.

There's also a small terrace out front with lots of trees right in view — on a nice day, sitting there would be even better.

Parking info for Baekhyeon-dong brunch

For anyone driving, parking is probably the biggest question. It looked like about 3-4 cars could park right in front of the store. But given how the Baekhyeon-dong café street gets on weekends and mealtimes, those spots fill up fast — if there's nothing available out front, you can also use the Baekhyeon-dong public parking lot, which gives 1 hour free.

If you're visiting with a baby like me, with a stroller and bags in tow, I'd recommend checking near the store first if you can.

A bright, fresh interior for a Baekhyeon-dong brunch café

Stepping inside, the mood from the exterior carried right through. White walls, wood tables, with yellow and red chairs as accent pieces — the colors made for really pretty photos too.

Sunlight poured in through the full glass windows, keeping the whole space bright and airy, and the tables were spaced more generously than I expected. Maybe that's why, when I visited, there was a real mix of guests — friends, couples, families — all having a meal.

If you're looking for a Pangyo brunch or Bundang brunch café that leans relaxed rather than overly formal, this place should suit you well.

Baby seats and baby tableware, ready and waiting

Once you start taking a baby to restaurants, this is the first thing you look for. Meolmeol had a baby chair set up separately.

It's a wooden high chair with a safety belt, so it was easy to sit the baby in and eat comfortably.

What I liked even more — baby-sized plates, cups, spoons and forks were all set aside separately on the side!

Going out for brunch with a baby and finding tableware like this already prepared is honestly a relief for any mom. If you're looking for a Pangyo brunch spot among Baekhyeon-dong brunch cafés that's genuinely good to visit with a baby, this is a pretty big plus.

Brunch on the terrace

It wasn't too hot that day and there was a light breeze, so we sat on the terrace instead of indoors. With trees right in front and a green view, the atmosphere turned out even better than I expected. The baby seemed happier watching outside too, rather than sitting in a closed-in room. With the yellow tables and chairs against the green backdrop, the photos came out pretty as well. On a nice day in fall or spring, I'd personally recommend the terrace without hesitation ✿

Ordering made simple with a QR code

You order by scanning the QR code at your table. No need to wait for a staff member to come take your order, which made it easy to browse the menu at your own pace.

What we ordered that day:

• Endive salad
• Spicy lemon anchovy pasta
• Truffle egg potatoes
• Baguette
• Fresh orange juice

We also got a yuzu bingsu (shaved ice) through the receipt review event. Each dish felt less like typical brunch and more like an unusual combination, which only made me look forward to it more.

Endive salad — with peach, raspberry yogurt cream, and even jamón

First, the endive salad, which was easily the prettiest to look at. On a white plate, peach and endive were laid over a generous spread of raspberry yogurt cream. Scattered in were raspberries and jamón rolled up like little roses, so even though it's a brunch item, it looked as pretty as a dessert 💟

The peach was sweet and juicy, the endive crisp with a slight bitterness. Add the tangy-sweet raspberry yogurt cream, and the fruit's sweetness paired with the jamón's saltiness surprisingly well. Not heavy at all, refreshing instead — perfect for waking up the appetite before the rest of the meal!!

Spicy lemon anchovy pasta

An oil pasta with the great combo of salty anchovy, grilled lemon and arugula. This was the dish that especially suited my taste that day — the spicy lemon anchovy pasta. At first glance it looks bright and fresh, piled high with arugula and cheese.

Before eating, they squeezed the grilled lemon evenly over the noodles and mixed it in. The anchovy's salty umami combined with the lemon's tartness, making the flavor even cleaner.

The slightly spicy oil sauce clung nicely to the noodles, and with the arugula's aroma and the nutty cheese grated on top, one bite in and you just keep reaching for another!!

If you're looking for a Baekhyeon-dong brunch dish a bit more unusual than the usual cream pasta or tomato pasta, I'd recommend this one!!!:3

Truffle baby potatoes — an absolute must-order

Crispy, fluffy potatoes drenched in truffle cream. This dish had presence just from the photo — the truffle baby potatoes. This is Meolmeol's absolute must-order menu!!

They fry the potatoes golden, then pile on white truffle cream without holding back.

The outside of the potatoes is crispy while the inside stays slightly chewy and fluffy, and the truffle-scented cream wraps around it thick, giving it a deep flavor.

Honestly, if you like truffle, this combination is hard to get wrong. There's so much cream that plenty is left even after finishing the potatoes — almost too good to just leave behind.

Definitely order the baguette too

So I'd recommend ordering the baguette alongside everything else. The baguette itself is plain, which makes it perfect for eating with all the different sauces haha.

Spread with the raspberry yogurt sauce from the endive salad, it's delicious,

dipped in the salty oil sauce from the anchovy pasta, it's great too, and best of all, piling on the leftover thick truffle cream from the truffle potatoes makes it taste like an entirely new dish on its own. Being able to enjoy the sauces from all three dishes with just one baguette — I was glad I'd ordered it.

Fresh orange juice

Tastes fresh and bright, like it was squeezed right on the spot *.* An orange juice that no brunch is complete without! The color was a deep, rich orange, and the taste wasn't like the usual concentrate juice — the tartness and sweetness of real oranges came through as if freshly squeezed.

Since the brunch dishes leaned toward cheese, cream and oil, a sip of orange juice in between cleared the palate nicely and paired well.

Yuzu bingsu from the Naver receipt review

Last up was the yuzu bingsu (shaved ice) we got through the Naver receipt review event. Since it was a complimentary item, I didn't expect much, but it was surprisingly delicious! The tangy-sweet scent of yuzu spread out cool and refreshing, and it felt really cleansing to eat after the meal.

It cut right through the richness of the earlier dishes and left my mouth feeling fresh and clean. If they're running a Naver receipt review event, be sure to grab this :)

A Baekhyeon-dong brunch with the baby, worth another visit

Eating through everything, Meolmeol brunch café turned out to be a place with a nearly perfect menu lineup. A bit different from the usual pancake- or eggs-Benedict-centered brunch cafés, every dish had a clear point of its own — the endive salad with peach and jamón, the pasta combining anchovy and lemon, the potatoes piled with truffle cream.

If you want a good brunch while strolling the Baekhyeon-dong café street on a nice day, murmur brunch bar is worth a visit. Next time, I'd like to try a few more menu items myself ..･:*:･ﾟ☆
