It's known as a Pangyo brunch hotspot, so even though I visited around 6pm on a weekend evening, quite a few seats were already taken. Finding your way from Pangyo Station

Meolmeol, this Pangyo brunch spot, sits on Pangyoyeok-ro 2beon-gil, close enough to walk from Pangyo Station. The blue-and-white striped awning really catches your eye as you walk down the street, drawing you in naturally. The big glass windows let you see straight into the interior, so it wasn't hard to find at all. There was even a piece by an artist who's a friend of my mom's near the entrance, which made me happy to see.

A cute, stylish interior

The moment I stepped inside, I could tell how stylish the place was. The interior had a cute, charming feel with bright colors, great for photos too. Every little prop and picture placed around the space showed real attention to detail, and it was a pleasure just looking around.

Any wait on a weekend evening?

We visited around 6pm on a weekend, and the place was quite full when we arrived, but by the time we left around 7, there weren't many people left. If you're planning a weekend evening visit, keep that in mind 😊

Looking around the store, they had baby chairs and baby tableware too, so it seemed like a good spot for a family meal with a baby.

We had reserved via Naver, so we sat at our assigned table, checked the menu via QR code, and placed our order.

Meolmeol Pangyo brunch menu board

True to its reputation as a Pangyo brunch spot, Meolmeol's menu ranges widely from hearty brunch dishes to light desserts! The signature items include the seasonal ricotta pancakes (gorgeous even just to look at), the truffle baby potatoes with their charming special sauce, and Grandma's Lasagna — all of them looked delicious. There were also distinctive dishes like the spicy lemon anchovy pasta, said to be the No. 1 staff meal, and the avocado chili egg open sandwich, apparently a hidden gem menu item. If a heavy meal feels like too much, the fresh fruit Greek yogurt bowl looked like a good option too. After much deliberation, here's what we ordered.

  • Truffle baby potatoes ₩10,000
  • Raspberry endive salad ₩19,000
  • Blueberry ricotta pancakes ₩22,000

Ordering and paying happened right at the table, so we didn't have to move at all — very convenient.

How were the truffle baby potatoes?

Living up to its status as Meolmeol's signature dish, the truffle baby potatoes were the kind of thing you'd regret leaving without trying. The crispy fried baby potatoes come with Meolmeol's special truffle cream sauce — the potatoes themselves are soft and nutty on the inside, crispy outside, and the pairing with the truffle cream sauce really worked. The plating, finished with parsley and paprika powder, was pretty too. My husband and I exchanged bites and just kept marveling.

Raspberry endive salad

This salad pairs raspberry Greek yogurt with peach, endive, and jamón. Eating the raspberry Greek yogurt with the jamón gave a nice sweet-tart-salty balance, and the crisp texture of the endive made it fun to chew. It was a salad where you got to enjoy so many different flavors on one plate — tangy fruit, creamy yogurt, and salty jamón all together.

Blueberry ricotta pancakes

Another signature dish at Meolmeol — the blueberry ricotta pancakes. The pancakes themselves were fluffy yet moist, well-cooked, and their mellow flavor paired really well with the sweet-tart blueberries.

Cross-section of pancakes with maple syrup and whipped cream

Maple syrup comes on the side, but since the blueberries were packed generously both inside the pancake layers and as a compote on top, it was plenty sweet and tangy even without the syrup. Peach and granola came alongside for varied texture, and eating it together with the whipped cream doubled the sweetness — perfect for a brunch dish. Pangyo brunch spot, certified ❤️

Overall thoughts

With its pretty interior and sentimental atmosphere, you might assume this is just another 'Instagram-vibe' café, but once you actually taste the food, it delivers well beyond its looks. The truffle baby potatoes and blueberry ricotta pancakes were especially memorable, and the raspberry endive salad was satisfyingly refreshing too. On top of that, the staff were kind, which made for a satisfying visit overall. If you're looking for a Pangyo brunch spot, I definitely recommend giving Meolmeol a try!
