Blue striped tent facade and yellow terrace seats: Meolmeol Pangyo

In short

Meolmeol Pangyo is a European-style brunch café on the Baekhyeon-dong café street in Pangyo, Seongnam, Gyeonggi. On a weekend morning the writer and her husband shared the seasonal ricotta pancake, truffle baby potato fries and raspberry endive salad, and the blue striped tent facade and yellow terrace seating stood out most. With baby chairs, baby tableware and pets welcome, Meolmeol Pangyo works well for a weekend brunch get-together.

My husband and I wanted brunch on the weekend, so we headed to Meolmeol Pangyo, well known as one of Pangyo's best brunch spots. 😋

I usually love taking my time over brunch, and this time I was looking for a place with pancakes and a good variety of brunch dishes — that's how I ended up here.

Where is Meolmeol Pangyo and where do you park?

Meolmeol Pangyo sits on the Baekhyeon-dong café street, and its blue-striped tent and floor-to-ceiling glass front made it easy to spot right away. I drove there, and I'd recommend using the Baekhyeon-dong public parking lot (café street) — parking there gets you 1 hour of support.

Looking inside, the place was already packed with customers, which got me excited before we'd even walked in. 😊

Inside Meolmeol Pangyo: European decor and the yellow terrace

Inside, every chair, table, and little decoration was put together with real style, so it was fun just to look around. There's also a yellow-toned terrace space off to one side, which looked like a great spot to relax over brunch once the weather cools down in fall.

They also have baby chairs and baby tableware ready, so it's great for visiting with kids, and I loved that pets are welcome too. With such a varied seating setup overall, this place seemed to suit couple dates, family outings, engagement party gatherings, or any kind of Pangyo brunch meetup.

Seasonal ricotta pancake

Meolmeol Pangyo's seasonal ricotta pancake had a fluffy, soft pancake piled high with sweet-tart blueberry compote and cream, and it looked delicious just sitting on the table. You could add as much maple syrup as you liked, and it came with fresh fruit, lemon, and mint on the side that suited the season, giving it both sweetness and freshness together.

The soft texture of the pancake itself combined with the tang of the blueberry compote and fruit kept things from being too sweet — the overall balance was really good.

Truffle baby potato fries

The truffle baby potato fries were crispy outside and soft, chewy inside. The potatoes themselves were tasty, but what really stood out was the house-made truffle cream sauce drizzled on top.

The truffle aroma wasn't overpowering — it came through gently, which made it easy to enjoy, and it paired really well with the potatoes. A satisfying dish all around.

Raspberry endive salad

The raspberry endive salad was built on a base of Greek yogurt made with lemon zest and honey, topped generously with fresh endive, juicy peach, and jamón. The crisp endive, sweet peach, salty jamón, and tangy Greek yogurt were all good on their own, but even better together in one bite.

The tang, sweetness, and saltiness came together naturally — a salad that paired really well with brunch.

Is Meolmeol Pangyo worth a weekend brunch?

  • From the fluffy seasonal ricotta pancake to the truffle baby potato fries and raspberry endive salad, every dish was satisfying.
  • The stylish interior and terrace space made it feel great for dates, family meals, or group gatherings.
  • With baby chairs, baby tableware, and pets welcome, it's an easy place to visit with kids or with a pet.

From the atmosphere to the food and service, everything was satisfying — Meolmeol Pangyo was a great spot to enjoy a relaxed weekend brunch in Pangyo.
