Seongnam brunch café with a playground-view terrace: Meolmeol Pangyo

There's a brunch spot in Baekhyeon-dong that I love. Pangyo brunch is always good hahaha, and among my handful of favorite places, Meolmeol is one that's really close to my heart. It's a Baekhyeon-dong brunch spot with healthy, pretty food.

Meolmeol Pangyo's exterior and where to park

Meolmeol Pangyo is a brunch café on the Baekhyeon-dong café street. There's parking space beside the store, and if it's full, you can use the public parking lot nearby — most of the parking around here is public lots anyway.

This is what Meolmeol looks like from outside, a Pangyo brunch spot. Coming here on a rainy day, it somehow feels even more atmospheric? I love Meolmeol so much! I first came to this Pangyo brunch favorite right around when it opened, then again with friends, and now this is maybe my third time? It's really been a while. It was so good back then that it stuck in my memory, and coming back now, it's just as great!

Why every seat at Meolmeol Pangyo is a photo spot

Meolmeol is really a brunch spot with such a vibe... seriously, there isn't a single corner that isn't pretty. It's all so pretty... so pretty. You can shoot a photo anywhere here and it's a photo zone. And why are the staff so kind on top of it... their friendly service just made us even more excited hahahaha. I was a bit down because of the rain that day, but coming to Meolmeol totally lifted my mood.

The playground-view terrace seats

Meolmeol Pangyo also has terrace seats outside. With the rain, the mood felt different somehow... and since it has a playground view, I love it even more. It's a great terrace for coming with kids. Let the kids play while we knock back some brunch and coffee. My teenage daughters have been wearing me out lately, so... totally drained.

I really love lemon cream tea. The cream sits softly on top and there's lemonade underneath, so it's really refreshing and perks up your appetite before the meal. Wow, the tangy freshness really lingers on my tongue... I was debating whether to order coffee instead, but I'm so glad I went with the lemon cream tea.

Raspberry endive salad

A wonderfully unusual salad you won't find elsewhere. You have to order this one... sweet strawberry yogurt spread underneath, and the combination of jamón (Spanish ham) with alba cabbage, paired with nectarine, is spot on. Truly a distinctive, high-class flavor you can't taste anywhere else.

Truffle baby potato fries

This is what I order every single time I come — the truffle baby potato fries. The kids love these too and eat them right up. The sauce on top is really the kicker, and the crispy yet soft potatoes are the best. You really must order this... it makes me think of my youngest so much. She loves potatoes like crazy. I need to bring her next time.😭

Grandma's lasagna

This one's a delicacy too~ Seriously, why is it so good... They even give bread on top as a service, so I just eat it happily and gratefully... We already ate before coming, and yet the lasagna just keeps going in? Haha, because it's delicious... I make lasagna a lot at home too, but this still makes me this happy? Hahahaha.

Seasonal ricotta pancakes

Ah, I have a lot to say about this one too. It's like a rich, loaded pancake~ Blueberry jam, granola, and nectarine all packed in — such a delicious pancake, yay! The kids gobbled it right up too, saying it was so good.

Yuzu bingsu, the receipt review freebie

This is the yuzu bingsu (shaved ice) we got for a receipt review. Wait, is this really a freebie?.. It's so good... a perfect palate cleanser... Honestly, Meolmeol Pangyo doesn't have any brunch dishes that feel greasy or leave you bloated. It's a healthy, delicious, and special Pangyo brunch spot that anyone would love. I'm planning to visit Meolmeol Pangyo again soon ❤️ Right after I leave, I already start missing it.
