Inside Shabu in Seoul Yongsan Main Branch: mood and seating

The moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt totally different from other shabu-shabu places I'd been to! The sleek black wood interior with calm lighting made for a really great vibe~ The seats were spaced generously too, so you could eat comfortably.

There's plenty of group seating too, so it's perfect for work dinners or gatherings, and they have private rooms, which makes it great for blind dates or wedding invite meetups! They even have baby chairs ready for families, so it's easy to visit comfortably, haha.

✅ Prime Angus chuck flap shabu lunch set (lunch only) — ₩22,000 per person / Broth chosen: spicy mushroom. I visited at lunchtime, so I ordered the great-value lunch menu!
How the spicy mushroom broth tasted with extra napa cabbage and bean sprouts

First, I scooped out the sauces, which were neatly arranged :) There were so many kinds, so you could choose according to your taste!

The marbling and color of the meat were really lovely, and probably because the vegetables come in fresh daily, the albaechu (napa cabbage) and mung bean sprouts were freshness itself.

As the spicy mushroom broth started bubbling, in went the vegetables and meat!

The broth was just spicy-tangy enough and had a deep flavor that soaked right into the meat — it was so, so good ㅠㅠ

I love a crunchy texture, so I added extra albaechu and bean sprouts! Haha

The meat was so tender and soft that I devoured it in no time, haha
Finishing the meal with rosé risotto and a dessert drink

Once you've mostly finished the shabu-shabu, you can request a finishing dish. With spicy mushroom broth, they serve rosé risotto!

This... was genuinely amazing ㅠㅠ!!! Getting some carbs in at the end really filled me up nicely, haha

After the meal, they even brought out a refreshing dessert drink, which was a lovely way to wrap things up!
With top-grade meat, fresh vegetables shipped straight from the source, and distinctive broths on top of it all, I really had the perfect shabu-shabu experience, haha. If you're looking for an upscale lunch spot near Samgakji Station or Yongsan Station for a gathering or a date, definitely give Shabu in Seoul Yongsan Main Branch a visit!
