Today I want to share a story about eating bossam (boiled pork wraps) in Sangdaewon-dong, Seongnam. This time I visited Bossam Ae Kalguksu Seongnam Sangdaewon Branch.
I ordered the gabrisal bossam for two. I usually love bossam, and I wanted to try gabrisal (pork neck meat) bossam, which is a bit different from the usual version. If you're looking for a place to eat in Sangdaewon-dong, this might be worth checking out.
Looking for a good restaurant in Sangdaewon-dong? Try Bossam Ae Kalguksu

In Sangdaewon-dong, people are always looking for something to eat, from office lunches to family dinners. Bossam is a menu I turn to often since it's great for sharing and not too heavy for lunch or dinner. Bossam Ae Kalguksu Seongnam Sangdaewon Branch lets you enjoy bossam and kalguksu together, and I liked that combination.

Besides gabrisal bossam, they also serve a bossam set, a special bossam set, and seafood minari (water dropwort) pancake!

The time it takes for the meat to come out is posted in front of the restaurant, so it's worth checking when you visit! You write your name on the waiting board in front of the store.
Bossam Ae Kalguksu Seongnam Sangdaewon Branch: atmosphere and takeout

The tables are spaced widely and there are plenty of them, perfect for group gatherings. I saw a lot of families dining out here too.

Bossam is also available for takeout. Both the gabrisal bossam and the bossam for one can be packed to go, and they give a ₩3,000 discount for takeout orders.
Gabrisal bossam for two, plus self-bar side dishes and rice

I ordered the gabrisal bossam for two, but there's also a bossam set menu, so it looks good for solo dining too.

There happened to be someone eating alone by the window seat, and the menu was neatly organized as well.

The country-of-origin labeling is also easy to check.

If you want more side dishes, you can just use the self-bar! It was run cleanly, which I liked. On the shelf above, they had sesame oil, salt, pepper, and gim (dried seaweed) ready for when you make porridge later!

And rice is also freely available on a self-serve basis~

Gabrisal is a cut a lot of people seek out for its soft texture and savory flavor. Eating it as bossam gave it a different charm from regular bossam, which got me excited. If you're looking for gabrisal bossam in Seongnam, this is definitely worth considering.

Try a piece of bossam right when it comes out! It's really tender and melts in your mouth~ Check the wall for tips on how to enjoy it best~

As the name Bossam Ae Kalguksu suggests, the standout feature here is being able to enjoy bossam and kalguksu together. When I visited, I also got a free serving of kalguksu for two, so I could order bossam and enjoy kalguksu alongside it. When eating meat, you sometimes crave warm broth or noodles, and having bossam with kalguksu made for a really well-rounded meal. So this would suit anyone looking for a good bossam-and-kalguksu spot.
How to cook the kalguksu, and the ₩1,000 raw-egg self-porridge

These days, one of the biggest things people care about when eating out is price and portion. So when I look for good restaurants, I don't just consider taste — I also think about how satisfying and well-rounded the meal is. In that sense, the combination of bossam and kalguksu here felt like great value, and I think it's a good spot to recommend for anyone looking for an affordable meal in Sangdaewon-dong. It would especially suit office workers in Sangdaewon-dong looking for a lunch spot, or anyone looking for a place to eat with a group.

Once the broth boils, add the noodles and vegetables all at once and let it cook~ The broth was really tasty.

Getting to enjoy delicious bossam alongside a warm bowl of kalguksu was so nice. Now that the weather's getting chilly, I think I'll have to come back for another bowl of hot broth~

Once you've eaten some of the kalguksu, I recommend adding a raw egg for ₩1,000 from the menu and making a self-porridge!!

Grab some sesame oil, salt, pepper, and gim from the self-bar and stir them into the porridge — it's absolutely delicious~!
Being able to enjoy bossam and kalguksu together made this a great spot to recommend for anyone looking for a good restaurant in Sangdaewon-dong, a good bossam restaurant in Seongnam, or an affordable meal in Sangdaewon-dong. If you're looking for a lunch or dinner spot in Sangdaewon-dong, this bossam meal should fill you up nicely :)
