Vanilla latte and grapefruit ade on a Friday at Starfield Suwon café

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee is a place I used to stop by often on dates in Haenggung-dong. When I heard that this familiar café had also opened a branch inside Starfield Suwon, I got curious and dropped in while shopping.

Location and hours on the 2nd floor of Starfield Suwon

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters is located on the 2nd floor of Starfield Suwon, 175 Suseong-ro, Jangan-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It's a convenient spot if you're shopping inside Starfield and suddenly want coffee — nice that you don't have to step outside the building at all.

I visited on a Friday, and the wait line wasn't as long as I expected. It might be different on a busy weekend, but on this day the whole process from ordering to getting the drinks wasn't stressful at all.

They're open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with last order at 9:30 PM. Since it lines up with Starfield's operating hours, it's easy to fit in before or after shopping.

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee menu and prices

At the Suwon Starfield Jeong Jiyeong roastery, there was a wide range of menu options beyond coffee — ades, milk teas, misugaru (roasted grain drink) — for people who don't drink coffee. That worked out well for us, since one of us ordered coffee and the other went for an ade, each picking what suited our taste.

Some of the main prices: Americano ₩5,500, Café Latte ₩6,500, Vanilla Latte ₩6,800. Grapefruit Ade, Real Chocolate Latte, London Fog Milk Tea, and Honey Grapefruit Black Tea were each ₩6,500, Misugaru was ₩6,000, and Coconut and Strawberry Lattes were ₩7,000.

Since the menu isn't focused only on coffee, it wasn't hard to pick something even when the people I was with had different tastes.

Vanilla latte review — nutty rather than acidic

I usually like latte-type drinks, so I ordered the vanilla latte again this time. When I used to drink Jeong Jiyeong Coffee in Haenggung-dong, I personally never found it too acidic — it leaned nutty, and that suited me — and I got a similar impression at the Starfield branch.

Rather than the vanilla's sweetness jumping out first, the coffee and milk felt like they blended together. For my taste, which prefers a nutty, smooth latte over a coffee with pronounced acidity, this was easy to drink without any burden.

I was also personally happy to be able to meet the same Jeong Jiyeong Coffee I used to drink in Haenggung-dong, now at Starfield Suwon too.

Grapefruit ade review — a non-coffee option

My husband picked grapefruit ade instead of coffee. At ₩6,500, the grapefruit ade was one of the good non-coffee options for when you don't feel like coffee.

I tried a sip or two myself, and the distinct tart, fresh flavor of grapefruit was a completely different vibe from the vanilla latte. Ordering a sweet latte and a refreshing ade side by side made it fun to switch back and forth between two very different drinks.

When you've been shopping for a long time, there are moments when you crave something cool rather than a strong coffee — on days like that, it's worth keeping in mind that there are options like ade or milk tea.
