Hi everyone! It's Mingming ✨ Last weekend I looked all over for a nearby campground, but everything decent was either fully booked or way too far from home. Still wanting that camping vibe, I found something close by instead — an indoor camping spot in Hongdae called TAGE. If you're hunting for an indoor camping spot, pay attention!

Where is TAGE Indoor Camping Hongdae Main Branch, and when is it open?

TAGE Indoor Camping Hongdae Main Branch is on the basement level of 79 Wausan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea, open daily from 11:00 to 23:00. There's no parking, so public transit is recommended.

It's near Hongik University Station Exit 9 (10-minute walk) and Sangsu Station Exit 2 (7-minute walk). We drove and parked at a nearby public lot.

The entrance is so well decorated that the camping mood hits you the moment you walk in — it caught me off guard a little. It felt like a perfect spot for anyone looking for a unique Hongdae date spot or things to do in Hongdae.

Inside TAGE: a basement space with real camping atmosphere

TAGE Indoor Camping is clean and cool, so honestly it was more comfortable than an outdoor campground. The space feels open and the tables are spaced generously apart, which makes it a nice unique Hongdae date spot for couples too.

Karaoke, Nintendo, Netflix, YouTube, board games — there was so much to do that we lost track of time playing.

How much does a table cost, and what is the 2 p.m. session?

The table fee at TAGE Indoor Camping is ₩40,000 (some spots have discounts, so check before booking). Each spot's entry time is staggered by 30 minutes, which keeps things comfortable. We went for the 2nd session — next time I'm planning to go for the 4th session and take it slow with drinks.

Can you bring your own food or order delivery to TAGE?

If you bring takeout food, you just get the table space. If you bring your own meat, you'll need to rent a grill pan and buy butane gas (burners are provided free). Delivery food is also fine, but you have to sort your own recycling afterward.

The store's pork belly runs ₩9,500 per serving, and fresh pork belly is ₩14,500 (includes vegetables etc.). We ordered two servings of fresh pork belly and two servings of japchaguri (spicy black bean noodles), and honestly, it was so good. One bite in and I was already craving a drink — total camping-restaurant vibes.

We came mostly for the camping vibe, so I honestly didn't expect much from the food — but the pork belly was way better than I thought. The kimchi that came with it was grillable too, which made it even more satisfying.

Bringing your own wine: TAGE corkage rules

For wine or spirits, corkage is ₩15,000 per table (4 people), with no limit on quantity (though soju, beer, and store-bought drinks aren't allowed). They sell soju, beer, whiskey, and wine too, so you don't even need to bring your own.

Karaoke, Nintendo, board games and other facilities

There's a dedicated smoking room inside, so smokers can use it comfortably, and the bathroom — which is usually the annoying part of camping — was clean and spacious here. Details like this quietly make a big difference in overall satisfaction.
