Yes hello, Jeonmin-dong native reporting in. I went through elementary, middle, and high school in Jeonmin-dong and lived there for 2-something decades~ I went back to visit my family home and had a little date with my mom while I was at it. Come peek in on a Munji-dong local's date, let's go.

It sits facing the Gapcheon stream, between Expo Apartment Complex 4 and Hyosung Harrington Apartments. Because of Jeonmin-dong's character — KAIST is nearby, along with plenty of companies — it's packed at lunchtime, and since it's also on an apartment complex's restaurant row, it's packed with residents in the evening too.

The inside of Seoreojeong Munji Branch has an overall wood-toned feel, almost like a café, and the interior is really nicely done. There are also a lot of tables, so you can be seated whether you're dining solo or coming as a group.

The chuck flap mini udon set, 21,600 won
Plum tea / kimchi / wasabi / sauce, plus steak / rice / corn soup / mini udon. The visuals are amazing T-T — coming out as such a neat all-in-one set, I really love this kind of thing. Wasabi with the beef? A fried egg on the rice? Whoever's running this place truly gets it.
My mom is extremely sensitive to any gamey smell in meat, and steak is no exception. Mom-approved steak restaurant! Case closed! The meat is genuinely so tender and there's zero smell.
Yeah, it comes out at that medium-well-ish doneness, just right. I felt like this must be what 'melts in your mouth' means. Not chewy at all, seriously. Even my fake molar crown approves.
Cod roe perilla oil pasta, 14,500 won
Okay everyone, this is genuinely my strongly recommended dish. Absolutely insane cod roe perilla oil pasta. The moment you take one bite, the umami just swirls all through your mouth. The perilla leaf turned out to be more of a kicker than I expected — I thought it was just garnish, but this little guy has serious presence. Honestly, if you go to Seoreojeong, order this first and start there.
Beef curry, 10,900 won
This is what my mom ordered — beef curry. The meat pieces are big and there's a lot of them, truly living up to its name. The garlic flakes sprinkled on top were crunchy and quite tasty too, apparently. A soft-boiled fried egg with curry — that combo should honestly be illegal.

There's a review event too. Chilled soba noodles — I'm quite curious about it. Please eat it for me, everyone, it looks like it'd be delicious.

Mom's review: Great value for the price and the meat is really excellent. I should have my friends' gathering here sometime. Wow, this is really great.
Princess's (my) review: No need to grill meat and get splattered with oil, so it's a genuinely simple, easy way to have a satisfying meal — and honestly, the cod roe pasta is a complete winner T-T
