I met up with friends after a while at Rustic Smoke House Yongin Yangji Branch, a steak place in Cheoin-gu!

Rustic Smoke House Yongin Yangji Branch is a barbecue house on Hanteo-ro in Yangji-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, a lush green view unfolds, and even the rustic wooden sign gave it a special feel.

There's a large gravel parking lot right in front, so you don't need to worry about parking.

Inside Rustic Smoke House, the huge floor-to-ceiling windows let in natural light as-is, and the walls are decked out with vintage signs and rustic props!!!

There's a self-service bar right in the middle of the restaurant, so you can use it comfortably~~

There's also a big teddy bear photo zone, so there are really so many spots for photos~ The sticky-note guestbook wall by the entrance was also impressive

It was covered in handwritten reviews from past guests, so it was fun just browsing them, haha. With the emotional interior and photo zones, it was a place great to enjoy for the space itself, not just the food. Vintage signs and rustic props all over the walls

With the big teddy bear photo zone and even a fireplace decoration, there were really, really so many spots to take photos — I love places with lots of photo zones!!

Maybe that's why it's popular with couples on dates, families eating out with kids, meals with parents, and friend gatherings, birthdays, and anniversaries. That day, too, there were couples, families, and groups of friends visiting. FYI, it's apparently known as a filming location for the drama 'Woojoo Mary Me,' which made it feel even more special somehow.

The rustic interior details are alive everywhere, making it both a photogenic spot and a place with the best café-like emotional feel!!!!

What comes with the 79,000 won couple set steak we ordered

They said the signature menus are the Texas barbecue platter with deep smoky flavor, and the steak platter, which lets you taste different cuts like striploin, flat iron, and pork neck all at once

We ordered the couple set steak (steak platter + pasta + 2 drinks + house salad).

Striploin 130g + flat iron 150g + pork neck 250g marinated in Rustic's own style, grilled vegetables + 2 shrimp

It came out on a cast-iron pan piled high with two kinds of steak (cooked tender at a nice medium-rare), a thick pork chop, two plump shrimp, and grilled corn, paprika, and zucchini — totally satisfying just visually!

The steak had great juices and simple seasoning, so it was perfect for enjoying the ingredients' natural flavor, and the shrimp had a springy texture that was so satisfying to pick up and eat. The side vegetables also had a proper smoky char, just as good as the steak, good good good!!

The green salad on the side, topped with balsamic dressing, cheese, nuts, and cherry tomatoes, was refreshing and fresh, and the sweet-and-sour pickled radish did a great job cutting through the richness~~~

And the creamy shrimp pasta included in the couple set was really delicious too — the creamy sauce was loaded with springy shrimp and mushrooms, making it perfect to share alongside the steak

Is the couple set enough for 3? What to check before you go

The price was reasonable for the couple set for two (₩79,000), and the portion was really huge, enough for three people to eat plenty and still have leftovers. There's a break time (15:00–17:00), so checking the time before you visit is a must!
