I was trying to figure out what to eat for dinner in Busan with my partner Yedung, and we ended up at Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch — a place where you can try pork rare cuts you'd never see at a regular samgyeopsal spot, all in one sitting haha.
Where is Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch, and when is it open?
Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch is a domestic Korean pork rare-cut specialty restaurant at 141 Dongseong-ro, Busanjin-gu, Busan, about 150m from Bujeon Station exit 2. It's open daily from 15:00 to 24:00, and we went around 6pm.

Being only about 150m from the station made it easy to find, no trouble at all haha.

Even from outside, it's clear this is a domestic Korean pork rare-cut specialty restaurant, and with cuts like cheek meat, snout meat, jowl meat and pig tail that we don't often eat, this meat lover was excited before even going in lol.

Inside Dwitdon Sanghoe: seating and the self-serve bar
The inside of Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch was bigger than expected. There were several round tables, each with its own ventilation setup, making it easy to grill meat, and it looked like a good spot for group visits too.

There was also a separate self-serve bar where you could grab more side dishes yourself if you ran out — very convenient✨

What comes in the 49,000 won Dwitdon combo set 750g?
What we ordered: 🥩 Dwitdon combo set 750g — ₩49,000 🍚 Rice — ₩1,500 🥤 Cola — ₩2,000 The combo set includes 6 rare cuts (500g) + a choice of small intestine or pork skin + pig tail (250g), and we chose pork skin.

The platter came out looking hearty and generous right from the start 😚😚
Each cut had its own name tag stuck in it, which was great even for someone who doesn't know rare cuts well — you could check exactly what you were eating as you went.

They told us that the neck-throat meat normally included wasn't available that day, so it was replaced with black pork foreleg meat. Our set was neck meat → black pork foreleg meat → cheek meat → tongue-root meat → snout meat → jowl meat → pig tail → pork skin, and we grilled through them one by one in that order 🔥

Comparing the texture of 8 rare pork cuts
The first one, neck meat, was moderately chewy and clean-tasting, a great way to start. The fully bouncy, chewy neck meat totally won Yedung's heart 🥰🥰

Next up, the black pork foreleg meat had a clean lean-meat flavor for sure — a good style for people who prefer less fatty, cleaner cuts!

The cheek meat had a nutty flavor that grew the more you chewed, with a chewy texture — personally this is where the fun of eating rare cuts really kicked in.

The tongue-root meat was relatively soft and moist compared to the other cuts, easy to eat without any heaviness.

And then, the snout meat, which felt like the real deal in terms of rare-cut experience!
Crunchy and springy with softness underneath — it had a completely different charm from regular pork belly lol.

The jowl meat had a bouncy, springy bite while still being clean-tasting — the kind you keep picking up without thinking.
But even after trying so many cuts, what I liked was that there was almost no gamey pork smell overall, staying clean throughout. Even though it's all pork, each cut had its own soft, chewy, or crunchy character, and comparing them one by one was genuinely fun haha.
What does grilled pig tail taste like?
And more fun than expected was the pig tail! Grilled thoroughly until golden, the outside got slightly crispy while the inside stayed chewy — like eating the skin and meat together.

I thought pig tail might smell off, but not at all~~~~ It was a genuinely charming cut haha.
Since it's not something you'd usually order easily at a regular BBQ place, I liked being able to try a little of each in the combo set. ☺️😉 And last, the pork skin we chose instead of small intestine 🔥

Pork skin dipped in soybean powder and curry powder
The pork skin was pressed down and grilled golden, and the chewy, springy texture really came through. 🤤🤤
The house seasoning itself was tasty enough to eat plain, but the sauce combos here were fun too. A nutty bite dipped in soybean powder ❤️ A fragrant bite dipped in curry powder ❤️
Especially with a heavy coating of soybean powder, the nuttiness really came through and I couldn't stop reaching for more lol. Yedung ate every bit of the pork skin, no leftovers.
Side dishes and bibim guksu (spicy cold noodles)
The basic side dishes were more substantial than expected — pickles, kimchi, garlic, chili, various sauces, plus tofu kimchi, scallion shreds, and lettuce wraps, great to pair with the meat throughout the meal.

And the bibim noodles (spicy mixed noodles) that Yedung loved 💛 The noodles were well tossed in a tangy-spicy sauce, refreshing the palate between bites of meat!
Especially rolling a well-grilled piece of meat into the bibim noodles and eating them together — the nutty meat plus tangy-spicy noodles combo was excellent 🤤🤤🤤
We added a bowl of rice too and ate through the side dishes and meat properly, finishing off with a cool can of cola 👌
We grilled the meat ourselves, and the grill plate was wide enough to lay out small portions of each cut easily. The staff were also friendly every time we asked for something, so we finished the meal without any hassle.
Who should eat at this Jeonpo-dong pork BBQ restaurant?
If you want to try a variety of rare cuts like cheek meat, snout meat, jowl meat, pig tail, and pork skin instead of regular pork belly or neck meat, this was a pretty fun place. Especially since the texture differed clearly cut by cut even within one combo set, the two of us kept comparing as we ate and never got bored till the end haha.
It's close to Bujeon Station and the restaurant is spacious, so if you're looking for a place for a meat date in Jeonpo or need a Jeonpo BBQ spot for a group meal, Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch is worth considering 🔥

What satisfied Yedung most was being able to try so many different cuts without any gamey smell, and the pig tail and chewy, bouncy pork skin especially stuck in memory haha. First time seeing a place sell pig tail. Want to try a variety of rare pork cuts?? Recommend Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch 👍❤️
