Caffeine Focus

Where is Caffeine Focus in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, and is there parking?
Caffeine Focus is a fortress-view café right next to the fortress wall on Changnyongdaero in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. You can park right in front of the café, and there's a walking path along the fortress wall.
With the weather being so gorgeous these days, I've been doing a lot of walking and picnicking around Haenggung-dong in Suwon, and I found a genuinely pretty café there with a fortress view, so I went. Caffeine Focus!! It's great to come for a walk and then stop for coffee, or have coffee first and then go for a walk — or even take your coffee to go and sip it while you stroll.

Gravel deck and outdoor tables at the Caffeine Focus entrance
One of the best things about Caffeine Focus is how beautifully it's decorated — great atmosphere, lovely interior. Right from the door, gravel and trees are arranged together with a wooden deck, and there are tables too, so it looks like a nice spot to have coffee right at the entrance.

Caffeine Focus menu: ciabatta and the avocado signatures
Looking at the Caffeine Focus menu, the dessert lineup includes yogurt bowls and cheesecake, but the main dessert is ciabatta, in several varieties. It's sourdough ciabatta baked fresh every morning — plain, cheese olive, cheese squid ink, choco fig and more, including seasonal-fruit versions, so there's quite a range.
For drinks there's coffee, non-coffee options, and smoothies, with the signature menu being ube cream matcha latte, avocado smoothie, and avocado coffee. Avocado drinks seem to be the café's specialty. There was also a good variety of teas.

How the three floors of Caffeine Focus are laid out, plus the 3rd-floor terrace
Caffeine Focus has three floors. The first floor is where you order and where the bread is made — come in through the entrance, order on the first floor, then head up to the second or third floor. Both floors have seating, and the third floor in particular has a terrace, so in weather like this it's nice to go up there and enjoy coffee in the cool breeze.

Both the second and third floors have great views, so you're fine wherever you sit, but the third floor has that terrace as shown in the photos. The terrace doesn't face the fortress wall, but it looks out over the residential rooftops of Haenggung-dong, which has its own kind of charm. There are also restrooms on both the first and third floors, so it was easy to use the facilities while enjoying the café.

Hot air balloons and autumn kites seen from the 3rd-floor fortress-view seat
I sat at the fortress-view seat on the third floor of Caffeine Focus, and it turns out the café is positioned right where you can see the famous hot air balloon of Hwaseong Haenggung-dong. The view was so good that just sitting there felt wonderful.
The autumn sky was such a pleasant blue with white clouds, and while I sat there, people started flying kites, and one by one, kites began rising up outside the window! Getting to see a view like this was such a treat. Even just picking up my coffee and taking photos, the view was so pretty that the pictures came out beautifully too!!

How the avocado smoothie and choco fig ciabatta taste
We ordered an iced americano, an avocado smoothie, and a choco fig ciabatta at Caffeine Focus. The signature avocado smoothie was so good it made me wonder how avocado could possibly be turned into such a delicious smoothie, and the coffee — which seems to use special beans — was also really tasty.
The choco fig ciabatta, a seasonal ciabatta made with figs you can only get in autumn, is a must-try. It went so well with the coffee, and I never realized chocolate and figs could pair together this nicely!!
Honestly, from the view to the coffee to the dessert, nothing was missing — Caffeine Focus was just perfect. If you're looking for a café in Haenggung-dong, Suwon with a beautiful view and great desserts and coffee, I really recommend it. A special café where you can take in the fortress-wall view and go for a fortress walk too — it was such a good day.
