Korean head spa and bangs cut in Gwacheon: One & Only Hair

Today I'm introducing a Gwacheon hair salon recommendation — One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station. It had been a while since I got a scalp clinic to relax, and along with tidying up my heavy, limp hair, I also got a design cut that felt like a transformation while still looking like me :-)

One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station is a 2-minute walk from Exit 1 of Gwacheon Government Complex Station, so accessibility from the subway is great. Hours are Mon–Fri 10:00–21:00, Sat 10:00–20:00, Sun 10:00–19:00, and I visited after booking through Naver Reservation with Manager Minjeong.

The salon is on the basement level. Parking is available on both B2 and B3, so it's easy to drive over and park.

Walking in, I was surprised — it didn't feel like a typical hair salon at all, so clean, fragrant and comfortable. Turns out they're the first salon in Gwacheon to introduce an air perfume system, constantly sanitizing and managing scent in the space! Impressive 👍🏻

A design cut planned around head shape and face shape

Today I was getting a scalp clinic along with a design cut at One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station!

I was planning a simple trim with a design cut and wasn't sure what style would suit me, so Manager Minjeong at One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station carefully examined my head shape and face shape and recommended a design, which she then cut.

You can also purchase a variety of hair products recommended by the designer.

The scalp clinic starts with a scalp diagnosis

Before the scalp clinic began, they checked my scalp condition. Even though One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station isn't a scalp-clinic-only specialist, they had professional scalp diagnostic equipment on hand, which made me feel they take every service seriously :-)

They listened to my usual scalp concerns and, while checking my scalp condition with the machine, explained how to care for it. Apparently consistent scalp care is good not just for scalp health and preventing hair loss but also for face lifting, so I'm planning to keep getting scalp clinics regularly. Manager Minjeong's thorough treatment and clear explanations of what I needed made me want to come back.

They carefully applied a scalp ampoule to scrub away old buildup and sebum.

Then, inside a steamer, moisture was supplied while the buildup softened.

While waiting, I enjoyed some downtime with warm tea and a snack basket ^^

To rinse and care for the fully softened scalp, I moved to a dedicated head spa room! I got to relax on a comfortable bed while receiving a scalp massage during the care~

During the head spa scalp care, buildup and waste were washed away, and lying down I felt myself melt into relaxation from head to toe. They massaged not just with shampoo but also the scalp, neck and shoulders, so my circulation improved and I felt the puffiness disappear.

Using the scalp machine, I could confirm that the buildup around my pores had disappeared and my scalp was clean. I could already feel it, but seeing it with my own eyes made me feel even more at ease haha.

They tidied up my messy ends and styled my bangs into a bang style rather than cutting them short, so the look comes together naturally without needing to blow-dry — makes styling so easy these days ^^
