Bucheon Sinjung-dong bakery: two cream cheeses on Golden Beurre bread

In short

Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong is a milk bread bakery cafe at 272 Gilju-ro in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. The signature Golden Beurre Milk Bread Half costs 6,000 won, with honey fig and blueberry cream cheese at 1,500 won for 30g each, ordered alongside a brewed coffee. The bread stayed moist with nothing spread on it, and alternating the two cream cheeses kept one loaf from ever tasting repetitive.

If you love bread, at some point you go looking for a place that really nails milk bread. This time I visited Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong, where you can enjoy milk bread and coffee together in Sinjung-dong.

I usually eat sliced bread with jam or butter, but with milk bread the flavor of the bread itself matters. So this time I picked the signature Golden Beurre Milk Bread (Half).

What kind of bakery is Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong?

Easy White Bread is a milk bread bakery cafe on Gilju-ro in Bucheon's Sinjung-dong. I found it while searching for a Bucheon Sinjung-dong bakery — apparently it's Bon IF's milk bread specialty bakery cafe brand, spinning off the milk bread that was already popular at Easy Brewing Coffee into its own independent brand. Walking in, I could smell that distinct freshly baked bread aroma, which put me in a good mood haha.

What also caught my eye was the use of good ingredients, like AOP-certified French butter and dairy cream. It felt like they really thought about the ingredients and recipe to make milk bread where you can properly taste the buttery flavor and moist texture, rather than just soft bread for the sake of it.

Milk bread gift sets at Easy White Bread

Easy White Bread isn't just for eating in-store — they also have gift sets ready to go. There are sets combining several types of Half milk bread, or milk bread paired with handmade butter jam, which seemed useful if you want to gift bread to people close to you.

Gifting dessert or bread is pretty common these days, so if you're looking for a not-too-heavy gift, this kind of set seemed like a good option.

Golden Beurre Milk Bread Half, 6,000 won: moist with nothing on it

The menu I picked was Easy White Bread's Golden Beurre Milk Bread (Half) at 6,000 won. Since it's their signature milk bread made with carefully selected French naturally fermented butter, I chose it first.

Cutting it in half, the crumb looked incredibly soft. Toasting it like regular sliced bread is also nice, but first I tried tasting the bread itself with nothing on it.

The texture was definitely moist and soft, with a subtle buttery aroma coming through. It wasn't aggressively sweet, so it seemed like something you could easily eat with coffee in the morning without feeling weighed down. Personally, I don't reach for sliced bread when it's dry, but this one had that moist quality that made it delicious just torn apart and eaten plain.

Honey fig vs blueberry cream cheese: which suits the bread better?

The spreads I picked at Easy White Bread were the honey fig cream cheese and blueberry cream cheese, 30g each at 1,500 won. The milk bread is delicious on its own, but since there were spreads to pair with it, I gave them a try.

The honey fig had that distinct subtle sweetness of fig, which went well with the buttery milk bread, while the blueberry cream cheese felt a bit more refreshing, so it was nice being able to choose based on mood. Cutting a thick slice of milk bread and piling on plenty of cream cheese turned it into something like a simple brunch.

So if you're planning to buy bread from a Bucheon Sinjung-dong bakery and eat it at home, I'd recommend grabbing one of these spreads too.

Brewed coffee from a champion barista's recipe

It felt like a waste to just take bread to go, so I also ordered Easy White Bread's brewing coffee. Easy White Bread apparently serves a brewing coffee finished with a champion barista's signature recipe. Paired with the milk bread, the coffee's deep flavor cleanly cut through the bread's richness — a pretty good combo.

How the bread and cream cheeses actually tasted

This time at Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong I tried the Golden Beurre Milk Bread + brewing coffee + honey fig cream cheese + blueberry cream cheese together, and overall I was satisfied. Above all, the milk bread itself was moist and soft, so I could taste the bread's own flavor without needing to pile on a lot of extras.

On top of that, switching between the different cream cheeses meant the same bread tasted different each time, so it never got boring. If you're looking for a Sinjung-dong cafe that offers more than just coffee — somewhere with genuinely good bread too — this place would suit you well. Especially if you love freshly baked milk bread, it's worth a visit at least once!

Next time I want to try the other milk bread varieties one by one. I'm curious about the walnut rye and the sweet chestnut rice cake milk bread haha.
